About 2 days had passed since that day in the park, and Alyssa had acted like nothing happened. If Declan or Noel asked about it, she would avoid the question. They didn't wanna push her, since they hadn't known each other long.
So, while awkwardness ensued with those three, everyone else was in the cafeteria.
Chloe sat by herself, not wanting to bother Daniel, Dottie, and Rylan after spending so much time with them at lunch. She was new to the whole friend thing and didn’t want to assume that her sitting there would be a daily thing.
Before long, she was caught quite off guard when a pair of meif’was sat with her.
Her ears perked, looking up at the two girls. “Nori? Kawai-Chan?” She blinked for a moment.
“Heyy. You seemed lonely, and we wouldn’t want someone as adorable as you to be lonely!” Nori grinned, her tone teasing. She was very subtly flirting.
“O-oh.. Um. Thank you.” Chloe smiled sweetly.
Now it was Nori’s turn to be caught off guard. How could someone react so obliviously sweet to being hit on by one of her random classmates?
“Kawaii~Chan hopes that Chloe~Chan won’t mind us sitting with her!” Kawaii~Chan looked at Chloe.
“I wouldn’t mind at all! I’d like the company.”
“Ah- uh- good good.” Nori laughed softly, sitting down with her sister.
Soon enough, Thea wandered over after Chloe had motioned for her to sit with them. After Thea arrived, so did Peter as he saw Nori and Kawaii~Chan with her.
They all talked so naturally, mainly about school things going on, and their different schedules and clubs.
“So.. What are you guys doing after school?” Chloe asked sweetly.
“I need to do something.” Both Peter and Thea answered at the same time, one answering more confidently than the other. They shared a glance with each other though that left the other three a bit confused.
“I’ve got nothing to do. I usually hang around the school for a bit once the bell rings.” Nori shrugged.
“Kawaii~Chan needs to go home and bake!” The meif’wa chirped.
“Ooh. I see. I have photography club after school so I’ll be here a bit.” Chloe smiled.
“Want me to walk you home?” Nori cocked her head, looking at Chloe.
“Oh- Uhm, sure- Though I do have a babysitting gig so you’ll have to walk me there.” She smiled, then let out a bit of a soft sigh.
They continued to chat, before two random boys came up to them, muttering shy hellos to Chloe.
She greeted them gently. She almost seemed like a princess in the way she acted.
“Jeez! You’re already so popular and you just started high school!” Thea teased quietly.
Nori paled, the color draining from her. Alas.. yet another person she grew interested in was a freshman.
Now, if she was your average sophomore this wouldn’t be much of an issue. But, she had been held back due to various factors, so she was supposed to be a junior. All in all, freshmen weren’t for her.
“I dunno what it is. But people have been really nice to me, so that’s cool.” Chloe smiled.
“You do give off good vibes, so I get it.” Peter shrugged, not looking up from his book. Nerd.
