“Hey Nori!”

“Sup.” Nori looked down at her, doing a little peace sign. She was of course in her tree that had become her usual spot for the start and end of the school day.

Chelsea stood awkwardly for a second before speaking. “Umm.. Did you have fun?”

“When? Oh, on the date? Yeah, it was fun.” Nori answered, playing it casual.

“Really?” She blinked. “Wait– Like actually?”

“Yeah.” Nori shrugged.

“I– honestly thought you wouldn’t– Ah! That’s great though.. Um. Glad you enjoyed it.”

“Yeah, it was nice.” Nori completely and totally… lied. Totally lied. The date was majorly awkward.

“...Cool. I’m uh… I thought it was nice, uh, too!”

“Cool.” Nori smiled, praying to herself that Chelsea wouldn’t want a second date.

“I’m.. Gonna go. Uh– See ya later!” Chelsea almost ran off, and Nori let out a breath.

“Thank Irene..” She let out a breath, sitting up just in time to see Peter walking over with an eyebrow raised. “What was that?”

“Our date was uh… Awkward.”

“Oh– Ohhh.” He grimaced slightly. “At least there’s less of a chance you’ll go on a second one.”

“That’s true! Definitely… Relieving. Is it bad to say that?

“Well she knows you aren’t serious about dating– Wait, you did tell her right?”

“Iii… wanted to. It’s just, I– I was planning on doing it before we went on the date, but all her brothers were there and I was scared they’d like kill me, then I thought about doing it during the date but things we like awkward and I didn’t wanna make it even more awkward, and then same with this morning.. If she asks about a second date I’ll tell her, I swear.”

Peter sighed, clutching his head in a slight facepalm. “You better mention it, otherwise you’ll be dealing with the Ro’Meaves if you break her heart. That’s not a family you want to mess with, Nor.”

“I’m worried I’m gonna have to deal with them either way.”

“Well, uh, if Garroth tries to beat you up, I’ll help you out.. I guess?” He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck before adjusting his jacket. “Anyway, I think you’ll be fine. What’s the worst that can happen?”

Nori grinned nervously. “Thanks, Peter. Plus, I do have an advantage being a girl, so I don’t  think Garroth would beat me up. Zane.. I could take him in a fight. Vylad too. I think.”

“I don’t think Vylad would fight you.” He chuckled at the thought. “You could easily beat up Zane.”

“Yeah, Vylad seemed like he was the most chill. Gotta cover my bases though.”

Their conversation was interrupted when Nori’s ears perked at the sound of yelling. To be exact, she heard someone yell, “WHERE IS THAT SON OF A B*TCH?!”

That someone happened to be Zenix, who was hunting down Kin.

Kin parked his car, quickly getting out and searching for his friends after his siblings got out. The moment Zenix spotted him, he tackled him to a wall, definitely making a scene. “YOU WH*RE! HOW F*CKING DARE YOU, YOU MOTHERF*CKING HYPOCRITE!!”

“Woah there.” Kin hummed, smirking at the shorter boy. “I have no clue what you’re talking about, Zenix. Now, can you kindly take your hands off of me.”
