Chloe was tossing and turning for who knows how long. She just couldn’t sleep. She was way too excited about her date. She groaned, sitting up from her bed and looking at the time. It was only 1 AM. She pouted a bit before getting up and heading to the kitchen. Maybe a glass of water would help.

It didn’t.

Even after she had drunk a whole glass of water, then another.. And another. She still just couldn’t get to sleep.

She sat down on her bed, pulling out her phone. If she wasn’t gonna be able to sleep, may as well do something. She got onto her instagram, seeing an account that made her head tilt.

A Phoenix Drop High School Drama account? Who would make something like that? She clicked on it, browsing through the posts. It was odd. After scrolling for a bit, she’d found the account had only been created somewhat recently. Was it a freshman then? It definitely seemed like a freshman thing to do, and the whole thing honestly gave Gossip Girl vibes.

Chloe shrugged, following it. She wasn’t really interested in drama, but if any more posts came up about her friends she wanted to know so she could handle it herself.

She didn’t like to show it, but she was extremely protective of those she cares about. She just didn’t like anyone to know the extent.

But that’s only because she had gotten in trouble for it before.

Chloe had rather severe anger issues when she was younger, even to the extent where she had to go to anger management. Most people wouldn’t guess that about her, and she liked it that way.

A yawn escaped Chloe’s mouth and she put her phone back up, settling into her bed. She shut her eyes, finally drifting off to sleep.

Chloe brushed through her hair, staring at herself in the mirror. She smiled softly.

Kin should be picking her up pretty soon, and she wanted to make sure she looked perfect. This was the first date she had ever been on. This was the first guy who’d ever really been interested in her since she only got kind of popular this year.

She wore a dark green dress with a square neck. It had flowy sleeves, and frills at the bottom. She wore brown boots that nearly reached her knees, and a thin black choker.

She patted down her dress. Was it a good dress for a date? She shoved her phone into a small bag, rushing down the stairs. She went to the door to wait, taking in a breath.

“...Aree you okay?” Katelyn looked up at her from the couch. Then, the doorbell rang.

“Yep! I’m great!” Chloe’s tail wagged quickly, and she looked at the door. “Oh Irene. Do I look okay?”

“What– Yes! Of course you look okay. Where are you going?”

“Hanging out with a friend!” Chloe started to open the door.

“What friend– Chloe, why are you so–” Katelyn gasped. “ARE YOU GOING ON A DATE?!”

“SHUT– UHM–” Chloe waved her hand at her in a panic.

“You LIAR.” Katelyn got up from the couch, running to the door.

Kin peaked his head through the door, smiling and turning to Chloe. “Good afternoon, gorgeous~.” He handed her yellow carnations. “If I knew you were going to wear green, I would’ve worn something to match.” He chuckled lightly.

Chloe’s face went red. “I– I– Ah– Thank you! And um, it’s okay!” Her ears pinned to her head from embarrassment.

“...KIN?! WH– CHLOE!” Katelyn cracked her knuckles, getting ready. “REALLY?!”
