New Students and New Opportunities//Chapter 8

A few weeks had passed, being about a month into school. Everyone had finally got used to everything and their schedules held a familiarity now. 

Chloe had started babysitting for Holden a lot more. And I mean a lot more. 

Almost everyday of the week she went there after club or whatever she was doing. 

Some days he wouldn’t even be there when she got there and Eleanor would open the door. 

One time when she got there, his friend Nyx was there and walked him out. His eyes were red and puffy, clearly having been crying before. He was mumbling something about how someone would never like him and how he’s not good enough. Chloe did worry, though it wasn’t her business, so she just took care of Eleanor.

Things with Alyssa and her two companions had gotten easier and they hadn’t brought up the park situation in a while. 

She had been hanging around Zenix a bit just to see what the Shadow Knights were up to, and she had realized that they were for some reason heavily targeting Aphmau. Weird. Almost like for some reason every character is interested in her because she’s the MC… hmm…

Anyways, Nori’s life had been quite busy. Over the past month she had picked up a job! So her days of waiting after school on a tree were over. She had started to work at the maid cafe, which was kinda odd in her opinion but she’s not one to judge. 

Anyways, at this point in time, the three girls were in their homeroom. Things were as normal, until a boy with brown hair, green eyes, and tanned skin. 

He was very pretty, and rather small. It was fairly obvious he was a freshman. The teacher briefly introduced him, and it turned out, he was a Ro’Meave! Vylad Ro’meave, Zane and Garroth’s younger brother. 

When he walked in, he tried to speak to Zane, but was quickly brushed off. 

A certain brown eyed werewolf watched as he walked through the classroom, eventually finding a place by Travis and Aphmau. The three began to speak.

At that point, Chloe had decided she would recruit him to sit with her friends at lunch. He looked like a good addition.

Speaking of her lunch group. Ahah. 

It had grown since the start of school. 

As it stood then, Chloe, Nori, Peter, Thea, Daniel, Dottie, and Rylan sat at the table.

It took quite a bit of convincing on Chloe’s part to get the Pup Trio to sit with them, but after a lot of persistence, she had succeeded! If she could convince them, convincing the new boy would be a piece of cake. 

As the lunch period started, the students flocked to their respective tables, but Chloe had other plans. She was scouring the cafeteria to find the new Ro’Meave. After a lot of searching, she found herself back at her own table.

“How can finding one guy be so haarddd???” She whined.

Nori snickered, “It’ll be okay Chloe.”

“Hey, isn’t that him?” Thea pointed at a table a bit away from theirs. 

It looked like he had just sat down. 

Chloe began to understand exactly what happened.

The two had practically been going in circles around each other.

He was looking for an empty place to sit, while she was looking for him. Since the two were both moving, it made Chloe’s job harder.

Her eyes lit up when she saw him, telling the others she’d be back. She made her way over to the boy. “Hi!”
