Chapter 20: Waiting

You thought that the next island you were going to stop at would be close, but instead, it's turned into yet another week trip. The navigator had said that there is still at least 5 days before reaching their destination.

"Kidd!" You called jumping over to him. "What are you doing?" You ask looking past his shoulder. He had a few scrap metal laying around. You've become a bit bored these few days, and spending time with kidd or killer was the only entertainment you have. But recently, killer was a bit busy, and took heat and wire with him too.

Usually, you would be killing some useless person from your crew, but you have become rather bored with that.

"Kidddd." You whined. He was ignoring you, and you didn't know why. After a few more tries, he finally responded with a rough "What."

"When we get to the next island, can we stay for a bit longer?" You ask as he stopped what he was doing and turned to you. "My crew is a bit behind, and if we go to the next island before they catch up, i'll never be able to return to my crew." You said as the red-head sighed.

"Fine." He muttered as you smiled. "Yes! Thank you!" You said jumping onto his back.

"Oi! Get off!" He said as you laughed lightly. "Aww why?" You said placing one of your hands on his head. "Can you perhaps not carry me?" You teased. "Not strong enough?"

"Hah?! Who said that?" He yelled before the metal scraps came flying at you. A small bone shield stopped them though. While you were messing around and teasing kidd, killer had walked out onto the deck, and saw what was going on.

Completely unaware of this, you completely missed killer talking to heat, who was also watching. "Sometimes, those two are so oblivious..." He said to heat, who nodded in agreement.

"Finally!" You said and jumped off the ship.

"You seem happy." Killer said as you nod.

"Yes! Absolutely! Honestly, i just wanna stop at some village and have some fun." You said glancing around. There was not much on the island, some small village was on the island, and you were the first to run to the village and look around. You grabbed some food and helped out kidd to get some items he needed, as well as restocking the ship.

Since you were going to stay at the island for a while until your crew got there, you were going to have some fun. You grabbed a bottle of alcohol from a nearby shop, and popped it open. Since you had a decently high alcohol tolerance, you should be fine.

Drinking from the bottle you took, you walked around town exploring the place. Then, you spotten kenji. You haven't been talking to him lately, since you were always bothering kidd instead.

"Hey. What are you looking at?" You asked and looked at the shop he was at. Swords?

"I want another sword." He said and pulled out one of his normal swords, which was on his person because he didn't feel the need to bring a cursed sword to the auction house before.

"Oh. Do they have a cursed sword?" You ask as he nod. "That one." He pointed to a sword in the corner of the store. "I see." You said and walked inside the shop.

"Y/n-san?"

"Hey." You said to the shop owner, who flinched at your voice. "Give me that sword over there." You said. Without another second, the man rushed to the corner and grabbed the sword, giving it to you with no hesitation.

"H-here you go ma'am...." He said shaking. You took the sword from him and left his shop. Kenji, who saw everything stayed silent as you threw the sword to him.

"Thank you y/n-san."

You simply hummed and went on your way. "Don't follow me." You said to kenji. He nodded and walked the other direction.

Yet another time skip cus writers block-

You were currently talking to kid, who you were getting closer to as each day passes. "Tsk. Honestly, i've never seen someone so cowardly." You said as kidd just listened to you ramble on and on. "And not to mention that time i captured that marine! He was mine, and the damn navy took him! You remember that right? There was even a paper about it!"

At that moment, one of kidd's crew walked up to you. "Hey captain. There's a ship heading towards here. I think it might he the red phoenix pirates." He said as kidd glanced at you.

"Now that they're here, what are you planning to do now?" Kidd asks as you paused in slight surprise. You were sure he doesn't act like this. He's getting more and more confusing.

"Hmm, well i'm sure you're planning on attacking shanks soon, so i'll be waiting for you. And also, we'll stay here for a few more days. We might need to restock as well." You said. The red head didn't say anything, but you could tell he had no problems with you staying a bit longer.

"Ah! They're here!" You said as you started to hear yelling. As you watched your crew dock the ship, you spot someone on board you have never seen before.

'Must be the new girl?'

Without thinking too much, you watched as your crew made their way off the ship, some going to the village, some staying on the ship to organize, and a small group came and greeted you.

"Y/n-sama!" Andra says running over, the new girl following behind her. "Captain! We've missed you!" She cried as you nod towards the girl behind her.

"She new?" You ask simply as andra nodded.

"Captain." Aku said walking over to you before whispering into your ear. "I don't like her. I feel like it's best to stay away from her." You nod before glancing at the girl. She definitely seem like the kind to manipulate people. In fact, she looks like she's looking down at you the moment she saw you.

Andra saw you staring at the brown haired girl, and introduced her. "Her name's Asa, and she joined the crew while we were looking for you!"

This Asa girl stretched out her hand for you to shake. "Nice to meet you captain!" She said cheerfully as you glared at her. Even as she was greeting you, here eyes were looking around, flying everywhere. So you simply ignored her and spoke to andra about other things instead, causing the girl to look back at you, and withdraw her hand.

'If she tries anything, i'll kill her.'
