(Hey, sorry for dipping...again, mental health took a downward spiral, plus I'm sick with tonsilitis, but I figured I would give you guys a chapter after ripping your hearts out with Cassie's death, but she's back, in a flashback chapter at least.)

Cassie was sat in her room, she smiled as she saw Max walk in, "Hey, I thought you'd be at the factory, especially since the new season is around the corner?" She asked him as he smiled softly shaking his head, "Nope, I figured I'd come and see my future wife." He spoke as she smiled, it was five days until their wedding, "Loving you, really is the best decision I ever made." She whispered as she kissed his cheek as he smiled and sat next to her, noting she had her guitar on her lap.

"I wrote a song, called 'Daniel in the den', and I want you to listen, and then I want you to know that it's okay, and that this is about how I used to view my illness." She explained as he nodded listening carefully as she began to sing.

Moving along in a pace unknown to man
Go go go go go go
Go go go go go

Max couldn't help but smile as she began losing herself in the music, he would miss this the most.

And you thought the lions were bad
Well they tried to kill my brothers
And for every king that died
Oh,they would crown another

Max shook his head as he looked at the song book, he flipped it to the song she had sung to him before their wedding and she had died, he glanced at her handwriting as he began to let the tears fall, he was haunted by the memories of her, and he wanted to forget, but he also wanted to tell their daughter of the mother who had died before they could meet.

But it's harder than you think
Telling dreams from one another
And you thought the lions were bad
Well they tried to kill my brothers

Max often dreamt of her and their daughter, of them still being together as a family, but then he would wake up and it would be impossible to ever be anything more than dreams, since she was gone, he still hadn't moved any of her things out of their room, he wasn't ready, and it had been six months since her death.

And felled in the night
By the ones you think you love
They will come for you and felled in the night
By the ones you think you love
They will come for you

Clary walked into the room and she smiled as she saw Max, "Hey, I figured we could talk baby names, I was thinking Cassandra after Cassie, and maybe we could include Victoria for your sister." She spoke as Max nodded, in truth he hadn't even begun to consider names for the baby.  "No, Jade, after her mother, Jade Grace." He spoke as Clary smiled liking the name better than her suggestion. "I know I won't be her mother, but Cassie was my best friend, and I would love to help you raise her, tell her stories about her mum's rebellious years, and how much of a terror she was a kid." She spoke as Max nodded, he wanted to turn her down, but he felt as though Cassie would want her best friend to help him.

Dreaming along in a pace you'll understand
Go go go go go go
No no no no no

"I'd like that, but what was Cassie like in her rebellious years?" He asked the blonde woman who laughed and sat next to him, as she felt the baby kick. "We were 14, and her mum and dad had told her she couldn't go to the beach it was a really hot day, and she was bored of being inside, the sun had set, and so, I was at the beach, thinking she wasn't coming, but she turned up, and we stayed till the sun rose in the morning, and that was the first time that she had been caught in dayligt, and then we got back to her parents' and they were really angry." She spoke before she began laughing, "She said to her parents 'Well I'm dying anyway so I may as well live my life the best that I can, with the time I've got.' and then she ran upstairs and dramatically flopped on her bed like a disney princess." She finished.

And you thought the lions were bad
Well they tried to kill my brothers
And for every king that died
Oh they would crown another

Max couldn't help but place his hand on Clary's bump feeling the baby move as he smiled, "She reminds me of Cassie with the strength she's kicking you with." He joked as Clary laughed softly, "She does, Victoria Jade, VJ Verstappen." She spoke as he smiled softly, as he looked at her, "Thank you for agreeing to carry this part of both Cassie and I." He spoke as Clary smiled softly as she looked at him, "It's okay." She whispered as she leaned in, causing him to pause.

And it's harder than you think
Telling dreams from one another
And you thought the lions were bad
Well they tried to kill my brothers

Max looked at her before he moved his head back, "Clary, I can't, I'm not over Cassie, and I don't think I ever will be, I don't want to give you false hope." He spoke as she nodded her head.
