(Note: Here it is! The chapter which is going to make everyone cry, I'm already crying so if that doesn't tell you something.)

Max and Cassie had been sat looking at the stars for a few hours now when they decided to talk back to the house and go to their room, they were almost there, when Cassie's legs went to jelly and Max picked her up bridal style deciding to get her back as quick as possible as he felt as though, tonight would be the night, that she would give up the fight, as she kissed his jaw.

Once they were back at the house, Clary rushed to them, as Max placed Cassie on the sofa as he went to talk to Geri and Christian, Cassie took Clary's hands into her own as she looked at her red headed best friend, who had tears already forming in her eyes.

Everybody needs inspiration
everybody needs a song
a beautiful melody when the night's so long

"You are my person, the person I would call to help me bury a body, clean up a crime scene, my platonic soulmate, and I want you to know that I'm here, and that I'm not leaving you, not really, I'm always going to be with you, even if you can't see me." She spoke as Clary nodded as she let the tears fall from her eyes as she smiled sadly looking at her best friend.

Cause there is no guaruntee
that this life is easy

"Cass, for 14 years, you have been my best friend, you have had my back, supported me, gone down into the dark with me, helped me up, and you're my person too, and you are the best part of my life, and Max and I are so lucky that we got to know and love you. I swear, your baby will know everything about how brave you are." She spoke as Cassie smiled through the tears as she hugged Clary who hugged her back as the girls let their sobs out before they pulled away as Max walked back into the room and picked Cassie up, before carrying her up to their shared room.

When my world is falling apart,
when there's no light
to break up the dark
that's when I, I look at you

Max laid her down on the bed, before he went to close the window when she stopped him, "Don't, keep it open, for me?" She asked, her voice no higher than a whisper as the Dutchman nodded his head as he took his shoes off before climbing into bed next to her as he pulled her into his chest, wrapping his arms around her as she smiled. "I love you Max Verstappen." She whispered as he smiled kissing her before he pulled away, "I love you, Cassidy Verstappen." He held her in his arms as she smiled softly, listening to his heartbeat.

When the waves are flooding the shore
and I can't find my way home anymore
that's when I, I look at you

Clary sat on the steps as she looked at pictures of her and Cassie through the years as she sniffled, as she looked at the pictures, she had no idea how to just be her without Cassie, it wasn't possible, it was like losing half of herself, Cassie was her person, she didn't know how to even consider being without her best friend.

When I look at you
I see forgiveness
I see truth
You love me for who I am

"Clary come on, just wear what you feel most comfortable in, it's okay." "Cass I love you." "I love you too, dork" The girls smiled before they laughed taking a picture with their tongues sticking out.

Like the stars hold the moon
right where they belong
and I know I'm not alone

Olivia and Bluebell were awake, as they looked at the moon and stars, "Cassie said she's going to be a star in the sky, and she's going to be okay, do you think she's going to help the moon shine brighter?" the younger of the two girls asked as the elder nodded her head, "Definately, and she's going to keep us safe too." She spoke kissing her little sister's head.
