Bonus 1

(You guys didn't think I'd complete this book and not go back? it's being proofread and I'm adding bonus chapters, of Max raising his daughter and of Max and Cassie.)

Max smiled as VJ was in the Red Bull garage, Christian holding her as he kissed her head "Daddy said I can have a kart soon!" The four and a half year old spoke as Christian looked at Max, "As long as it makes you happy Veej." Christian spoke as he kissed her head before he placed her down as he smiled at her, he didn't know how to function without Cassie in the world, but almost 5 years on, he was doing better than what he was.

"Can we go see mummy soon daddy?" She asked as she looked at Max who nodded his head, they often went to Cassie's grave and VJ would tell her all about what she had done at school, or with Kelly and Penelope, she would tell her anything and everything. He didn't know how he had managed to survive without Cassie, but he had done it, he still wore his wedding ring on a chain around his neck, he kept her close.

The photo from their wedding caught his eye as he remembered the day that Cassie died, she was in his arms, he kept it on his side of the garage to remind him why he did it, and she was always with him.

Max smiled as Cassie looked at him, her hair billowing out around her as she looked like an angel with her hair surrounding her like a halo, as they lay in the field looking up at the stars.

Cassie kissed Max's knuckles as he held her close to his chest, "I love you, nothing will ever change that." She spoke as he smiled softly, "I love you too, nothing will ever change that either." He spoke as he kissed her head, burying his nose in her hair.

"Daddy?" He was brought out of his mind by VJ pulling on his hand as they had been talking and he had zoned out, "Are you okay?" She ased him as he nodded smiling at her. "I'm okay sweetheart." He replied as he kissed her head, her hair the same shade of brown as her mum.

"Max, leave her alone, she doesn't want to see you anymore, she's getting sicker, so please just leave." Christian spoke, she had gotten sicker just before she was due to go to Monaco with Max, and Christian was protective, so he told Max that she didn't want to see him, not to hurt him, but to keep him from having his heart inevitably broken, he was also trying to save Cassie the heartbreak.

"Dad? Where's Max? I want him here." Cassie spoke as she looked at the older man who shook his head, "You need to focus on getting better." He spoke as she shook her head, "Please, I want Max here." She spoke as she felt the tears beginning to fill her eyes, before Geri spoke up, "Christian, go get him, he hasn't left, he refused to." The woman spoke as he nodded, listening to his wife as he went and saw the younger man.

Max shook his head as he tried to fight the tears as he made his way to the media ring, today of all days was Cassie's anniversary and it was also the Mexican GP. "Max, we know today is hard, especially since it is the anniversary of your wife Cassie's death, how are you feeling?" Jenny Gow, one of the reporters for F1.com asked as Max cleared his throat, "Every year it gets a little tougher, but I have a feeling that she's with me, and that she's got my back." He spoke before he wiped his eyes quickly.

Cassie smiled as she looked at Max from where she stood with Anthoine, who was looking out for both Charles and Pierre, alongside Charles' godfather, Jules Bianchi. "Do you think he knows?" Cassie asked as Jules and Anthoine nodded their heads, "Yeah, he knows, they all do." Jules answered as she smiled softly.

Cassie walked over to Max as she gently brushed his shoulder as if she was standing with him, "I have faith in you, you can do this." She spoke softly as she watched as he continued the interview, but she kept her hand on his, letting him know she was there for him.

Max finished his interviews, as he was walking back to the garage, he stopped feeling a coldness on his hand, before he smiled softly, "You okay Max?" Daniel Ricciardo asked as Max nodded his head, "Yeah, I just thought I forgot something." He told the Australian who shook his head with a smile.

"I missed so much of her life, she's the perfect mix of Max and I." Cassie spoke as Anthoine and Jules pulled her into a hug, their arms around her shoulders as she smiled softly, before she moved forward as she watched Jade get distracted by something, she picked a pen up and wrote on her drawing 'Hey VJ, it's momma, I miss you and your daddy, I love you.' before she put the pen down.

VJ ran back to her drawing to see the message and she yelled for Max, who ran into his driver room, and looked as his little girl, showed him the piece of paper, the writing was Cassie's and he smiled softly, "I think your mom is trying to tell us she's here." He spoke as he kissed her head as she smiled softly.

Cassie smiled as she sat next to VJ, who continued to draw, "Momma? If you're really here, can you make something move?" The four year old asked as Cassie smiled, before she gently pulled on one of VJ's braids causing the girl to laugh. Cassie saw her dad walk in and she remembered how they tapped each other's shoulders three times to say they loved each other, walking over to him, she tapped him on the shoulder three times, before she watched as tears filled his eyes.

Christian sniffed, as he tried to keep the tears at bay, as he felt the three taps on his shoulder, before he picked CJ up to take her to the pitwall as he put her ear defenders on her head.

Cassie walked to the starting grid, as she made it to Max's car as she ran her fingers over the body of the car, before she looked at the man she had never stopped loving in the four years she had been gone, "I love you Max." She spoke watching as he let out a smile as he heard her.

"I love you too Cassie." Max whispered as he pressed a hand to where his wedding band sat comfortably on his chest as he smiled softly.
