CHAPTER 1: FIGHTING FLAMES WITH FIRE

Asthasia's P.O.V:

I woke up at 5:30 in the morning because I have to attend my class. I go straight to the bathroom and take a shower after I finish, I brush my teeth and hair and then take my uniform and put it on, I waited for my driver to start the car so that we can go to my school. As I entered the school I greeted the guard and he greet me back. I saw a familiar face from afar it was ate ja and sha they waved their hand as they saw me, I ran towards them and hug them both. we go to our classmate and saw Matthew, we ate ja and I looked at each other, then teasingly smiled at ate sha, we already know that ate sha really admired Matthew but

" Sha di kayo talo " I told her as I smiled.

"let's seat na nga" she said while pouting

we wait for our teacher to come in for our 1st period, She checked our attendance and started talking to us, she's Prof. Cora, she told us about our Graduation that will happen next week, that we will not be having our classes for our last week and we just need to focus on our practice for graduation, of course, hindi kami nagpahalata na exited, ayokong bawiin niya pa yun sinabi niya no.

" Please Cooperate everyone" she added and then umalis na.

We just practiced for the whole day, we're so tired, to the fact na di na ako makatayo. Simon texted me na he will get me in school daw, so I texted my driver na magpahinga na muna siya for tomorrow. After a minute Simon arrived at school, He smile at me and asked me

" Are you tired?" I nodded, he smiles

" Let's buy ice cream, Avocado flavor" I smiled, he really knows me.

We entered the car and go straight to the ice cream shop near our school, we entered the shop and Simon took the Avocado flavored ice cream, he paid for it and go back inside the car. He gave it to me. I asked him if he don't like ice then he replied

"nilalamig ako, I don't think can still eat ice cream"

after he took me to our house and he left.

/FASTFORWARD/

it's already our graduation day, I and mom are waiting for Simon, I hope he won't be late, I wanna show him my achievements. The emcee told us to be ready because we are the next, I received a message from Simon that they were already at the entrance, I'm finding him when my eyes landed on kuya Sandro and Vincent, kasama niya sila? I asked myself. For them to see me, I waved my hand they waved back and come to me

"what took you so long?" I asked them

" it's so traffic kasi eh, Buti nga nakaabot pa kami kasi kung medyo late nadin kami pumunta, baka tapos na graduation mo wala pakami dito" panirong sabi ni kuya Sandro

"oh, Vinny when is your graduation? akala ko mauuna school niyo?" tanong ko kay Vincent

"akala ko nga din eh, but it got moved next week, we need time to prepare pa daw eh" he said sabay irap

pinatayo na kami ng emcee kasi were next na daw, isa-isa na nga tinatawag ang pangalan naming alphabetical kaya naman medyo huli ako, boys rin ang nauna so, medyo nakaka lessen ng kaba.

"Arora, Ara Janice G."

"Ortiz, Precious Shaharra E." isa isa na nga kaming tinatawag magkaibigan, malapit nako

tumawag muna ng ibang names bago sako mabanggit

"Felosmo, Astasia Elizabeth" tinawag nako, I can see the smile on my mom's face, I know she's proud of me.

After Graduation, we take pictures, I was really happy that time, sulit lahat ng Puyat. Simon told mom if we can all eat together to celebrate my achievement. They look at each other and my mother nodded, we entered the van, since kasama namin yung Friends ko. When we arrived we took the long table beside the window, we just laugh the whole time, sometimes I can't understand kuya Sandro na nga eh, he's too smart Kase, once you ask him a question may scientific explanation talaga. After we finished eating, hinatid na kami nina kuya Sandro, I can't sleep the whole night that time, I really can't get over that I already graduated.

ONE YEAR LATER

I'm doing something on my laptop when someone knocked at my office

"excuse me, ma'am, I just wanted you to sign this paper" - I'm shocked at what she said

"bat sakin? is mom not around?" I asked her

" actually ma'am, she's here, but she told us na we should make you sign this because you will be the next owner of this company, mas maganda if sanayin na daw po namin kayo" sabi niya sakin

I signed the papers and gave them back. I continue what I am when Simon called me

/ON-CALL/

"Hello, bat ka napatawag?" I ask him

"can we go out later, let's have dinner" sagot nito sa akin

"I'm really busy right now, alam mo naman na mom want me to be hard working diba? hope you understand" -me

" did you forgot something today" he ask me, napaisip ako kung may nakalimutan nga ba ako o wala felling ko naman wala so I told him

" is there something I need to remember?" he stayed quiet for a while then hung up

/END CALL/

I was shocked by what he did, may nagawa ba ko? I asked myself

Simon's P.O.V:

"What happened to you" kuya Sandro asked me habang naglalakad papalapit sakin

"nothing" - I told him

"nothing, pero mukhang galit na galit ka? why, did she forget?" I looked at him

" your look say's yes, alam mo be considerate nalang muna, she's the only child, means siya lang ang pagasa ng pamilya niya, she's having a hard time like us, mas may time ngalang tayo kasi tatlo tayo, kung ayaw nung isa may ibang choices pa, not like her" napaisip ako sa sinabi ni kuya Sandro, maybe he's right, no choice siya kundi gawin lahat ng pinapagawa sa kanya.

"it's just a anniversary, madami pang time na mauulit yan" sabi ni Vincent while peaking from the stairs

"I'll talk to her later" I said as I stand

fast forward, it's already 5:00 pm, aalis nako ng bahay para masundo si Asthasia, I tried to call her several times pero hindi niya sinasagot kaya naman naisipan ko na dumeretso nalang sa office niya. I was in front of their company when I saw her going out, I was about to wave at her when someone's car stopped in front of her, may lumabas na lalaki and offered her to come inside, she smiled at her and enter the car. I was so mad to the point that I bang my car's door and left. Akala ko ba busy siya?
