Chapter 1

"Come on, you can't like him that much." My best friend Madeline said.

"But I do, it's difficult." I said.

"You know Val is still crazy obsessed with him. You guys won't ever get to be happy without her having to do something." She said.

"You're right but I really like him and he likes me too." I said.

"But again Val can be very violent." She said.

"You're right. Maybe I can talk this out with Matt and maybe I can just try to find someone new I guess." I said.

"Good. I have to go. Brandon needs me." She said, leaving.

God I fucking hated Brandon. He was always such a dick to Madeline.

I decided to invite Matt over, I just wanted to tell him how I feel about Val.

"Hey, come in." I said, letting him in.

"Hey, are you okay?" Matt asked.

"I don't know. I really like you Matt but this is really risky." I said.

"Because of Val?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Val can't do shit. I blocked her from everything and I changed every lock on my door. I like you Sara, I really like you." He said.

"I really like you too Matt." I said.

"Are we still on for dinner this Friday?" He asked.

"Of course we are, you know I wouldn't let you down like that." I said, smiling.

He smiled and kissed my forehead as we said our goodbyes. Maybe this will workout.
