Madeline and Zach went to their honeymoon, and I had to watch their house. Matt couldn't stay with me because I didn't want anything to happen to our house.

"Thank you again for watching the house." Madeline said over the phone.

"Anytime. I won't break a thing." I said.

"Better not. Everything in that house is expensive. You know with everything going on in this fucked up world." She said.

"For sure. Now go have fun the house will be fine with me here." I said.

"Okay, I love you. Zach also loves you." She said.

"I love you guys too." I said, hanging up.

I was honestly missing Matt but I had to keep my eye on everything. Maybe I could invite him over for a bit if he wanted.

"Come on Aider." I said, walking outside.

Aider walked his tiny paws outside, going straight for his tree. I sat down, looking at my phone. I decided to call Matt just to make sure he was ok.

"Hey there." Matt answered.

"Hi. What are you doing?" I asked.

"Getting some of my stuff ready to drop of at Madeline's house." He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I know you'll miss me." He said.

"Dork. I love you." I said.

"I love you more, I'll be over in a bit." He said.

I hung up, bringing Aider inside. I watched TV for a bit until Matt was knocking on the door. Aider started barking.

"Shush Aider it's just Matt." I said, going to the door.

I opened the door and Matt was standing there, smiling.

"You don't have to knock baby you could've just came in." I said, kissing him.

"I know, I wouldn't feel polite since it's not my house." Matt said, putting a bag down on the counter.

"Dork. What did you bring?" I asked.

"Just a few shirts and your favorite sweatpants." He said with a smile.

"Thank you." I said, blushing.

"It sucks I can't stay with you." He said, pulling me in for a hug.

"We can have FaceTime sleepovers." I said, laughing.

"Real ones are much better." He said.

"I know. I just don't want anything to happen to the house." I said.

"The house will be fine babe." He said.

"You don't know that." I said.

"I do if I lock it." He said.

"Maybe but we could get robbed or something." I said.

"Well I don't care. As long as I'm with you." He said.

"You're just gonna end up staying here anyway." I said with laugh.

"You're not wrong." He said.

"Alright well Aider looks like he's about to piss himself so I'm gonna let him outside." I said.

I let Aider outside, he pissed right as he hit the concrete.

"How much water did that little thing drink?" Matt asked.

"I don't even know." I said, looking over at Aider who was sniffing the tree.

I smiled, turning back to Matt.

"I love you." Matt said, kissing me.

"I love you more." I said.
