The Debutante Ball part 2

Normal Pov

Main Palace

Athanasia was about to dance with one of the girls when Jennette came up to her. "Sister would you like to dance."

Athanasia then said, "I'm sorry. I already asked someone." She said as she gestured to the girl next to her.

"Oh, okay." Jennette said as she back away to find another dance partner. Athanasia glance at her. No one wanted to dance with Jennette. Every one of the nobles paid close attention to what just happen few minutes ago. It was clear that the emperor didn't like Jennette or the fact that she stole princess Athanasia's big day.

After the third dance Athanasia exited the ball room and walked over to the balcony as Felix followed her and said, "I'm sorry princess. We had no idea that this would happen."

"What are you talking about Uncle Felix? This is nobody's fault." Athanasia started calling Felix, uncle a long time ago. When she started feeling like she was being disrespectful. Since Felix was the same age as her father.

Lucas appeared and said, "I know whose fault it is." He said as he leans forward to the princess's face.

Athanasia smiled at him and said. "Thank you for coming."

Lucas then said, "well you did invite me."

"By the way Lucas, how do you do magic?" Athanasia ask.

"Why are you asking?"

"It has been a year since I absorb Raven, but I don't feel any different." Athanasia said as she walked back inside to the ball room as Lucas and Felix followed.

Ball Room

"Just think of something you want. Like flowers or something. What do you want?" Lucas said.

Athanasia then lean closer to him and said, "to be the perfect daughter for daddy."

Lucas looked at her and said, "your dad doesn't care whether your perfect or not. You're the one who thinks you need to be perfect in order to please everyone."

Felix then said, "his right princess. His majesty loves you regardless of what you do and how you do it."

"But how can I make him proud if I'm just ordinary?" Athanasia said.

Lucas then said, "take a deep breath, close your eyes and imagine something solid."

Athanasia took Lucas's advice took a deep breath and (woah) red roses fell from the ceiling of the ball room. "I did that." She ask.

Lucas then said, "yeah! Yes, you did." Athanasia decided to try a second time and throw her hands in the air. (Clap, clap, clap)

"That was so beautiful princess." Everyone said as they applauded Athanasia. Nobles started to gather around her. One among them was a gentleman with a glass of red wine in his hand. As he got closer to the princess. Someone pushed him and made him spill his wine on the princess's white dress. "I'm so sorry princess."

"Watch were you're going!" He said as he turned around to the person that pushed him. Only to fine out that it was Jennette. "I'm sorry," she said.

Athanasia narrowed her eyes as she doubted weather or not Jennette pushed the man on purpose just to stain her dress. Athanasia snapped her fingers and turned the dress red to cover the stain and to avoid making a seen. She then walked over to Jennette an patted her shoulder saying. "You should be more careful. Especially now when you're a part of the imperial family."

Jennette smiled and said, "thank you sister." The nobles around them watched the two carefully. While Jennette was all to happy with her sister's words. The nobles around them understood its double-sided meaning. Princess Athanasia was warning Jennette about bringing shame to the family as well as threatening her.

After Athanasia left the nobles turn their backs at Jennette saying. "Did she really not understand what the princess was trying to say."

"Not only that. I didn't even hear her apologize to the princess. Did you?"

"No."

"To think that she didn't even try to hide herself and wait for the princess to be introduce." Lucas grin after hearing those words. He then left in order to look for the man, who Athanasia said will be present that night. While rumors about Jennette started to spread.
