Days following the emperor's banquet Jennette had been marked as the Forgotten Princess. Nobles completely ignored her, and she was put on probation again by the emperor for embarrassing the royal family. However, this time it was a bit lighter since she was confined to the whole Ruby Palace from Athanasia's request. Jennette was also allowed to have guest come over, but they had to go through the emperor and the princess first.
Athanasia looked at the window and thought, 'there is no need for her to be locked up in her room like the last time. Dad has already stationed guards in the Ruby Palace anyway. I let her have guest so I can find out what they are planning. I can't do it with Emma alone, so I also got the other maids in the palace to spy for me.'

"My sister is lacking in some areas; I am worried about what the Duke and Countess might say to Jennette since they are not the most trustworthy individuals. Considering how they raised her, so will you watch her for me."
"Of course, princess!" The maids said excitedly. The princess's words contained another double-sided meaning. On the surface it might seem like she's worried about Jennette getting worst because of their so-called help. However, the truth of the matter was she just need to keep an eye on them since she had no way of knowing, what was happening on their estates.

"Lucas, I need you." Athanasia said as she finished her paper worked. He then appeared in front of her desk and handed her roses. She took them and said, "where have you been? I hadn't seen you since we went out shopping. Are you mad at me by any chance?" She said with a sad tone.
He then said, "is there a reason for me to be mad at you. I just have been busy lately that's all. You also hadn't called for me and I heard that you were busy with work and attending gatherings."
"Yes, but still, I would like it if you came every once in a while, to distract me from my work and all. You will always be a welcome distraction." The princess said as she smiled.
