The heavy silence lingered in the air as the two of the families sat on the dinner table to have dinner. There wasn't any other noise apart from the clinging sound the spoon hitting the plates as they eat.
The Kang family sat on the right side of the table while Jeons sat opposite to them. The silence was alerting of the series of events that would change everyone's life from this point on.
The servants walked back in with more food, "Sir more rice?" He asked Mr. Kang who politely denied.
"Mr. Kwon please stay out we have something important to discuss." Mr. Jeon said making the air even more denser. He looked at his friend and smiled, the servant bowed and walked out of the dinning room leaving the families to talk.
"So?" Mr. Kang said breaking the ice.
His friend looked at him with now a serious look, "Do you have something to tell me Kang?" He asked directly without going places.
Mr. Kang looked at his wife and she nodded slightly telling him to talk about it. He sighed, "Yes, actually Jeon... the thing is the Japan project." He being trying to find the right words to say it.
"Who decided?" Mr. Jeon asked with a straight face.
Baffled Mr. Kang looked at his friend. "What do you mean?" He asked.
Mr. Jeon scoffed looking away, "What I mean? Really? that's is in your place to ask?" He questioned looking back at his friend who now looked a little worried about how the situation turned out in split seconds.
Mrs. Jeon interpreted her husband "Please calm down honey... the child are watching." She said reminding him about the kids who were looking at the adults.
Mr. Jeon sighed, "Mr. Kwon." He yelled for the servant, Mr. Kwon ran back I the dinning room and bowed to him.
"Take the kids to the room, we have something to talk about." He ordered the man, Mr. Kwon just nodded and gathered the kids and walked them out of the room.
Mr. Jeon looked at his friend, "What is happening Kang? I thought we were friends but you betrayed me like that?" He questioned frustrated.
Mr. Kang shook his head, "Jeon try and understand I'm in no place to defend you there." He said calmly.
Mr. Jeon face turned red in rage, "Understand what?! Why didn't you tell them to wait! The court date of the sue is soon and I would've won that anyway. Why didn't you tell them I'm no scamer?" He shouted.
Mrs. Kang looked at him and scoffed, "Won the case how? By threatening the victims? Those kids just came to you company to make their future to be singer." She commented referring about the scam case on the Jeon company of entertainment.
