Chapter 86

"About time"

I stare down at the streets from the balcony of my hotel room, my eyes empty still trying get a glimpse of her, her face. The cold morning breeze hit my face; I shut my eyes as they burn due to lack of sleep. I wonder where was she? Was it even her or where my eyes deceive itself.

I sighed and went back into my room when my phone ringed. I looked down at the caller and it was an unknown number; I frowned because the number wasn't even from back home the number started with +33 which was a local number for France. 

I stared at the screen unsure whether I should answer but the call ended, I placed the phone back on the table and went to bathroom to take shower and get ready because today I'm going to meet a potential business partner and that's an important thing for me.

When I came out of the bathroom, I felt a little better and decided to make myself some coffee even though I hate it I need it for today, so I don't drowse off in middle of the meeting. After drinking the coffee, I felt a lot more energetic, so I dressed myself for the day.

My phone ringed again my heart skipped a bit for some reason, 'What if?' I left myself think about the possibility as I dashed towards my phone I was disappointed to see Jimin's number. I almost laughed at myself for being so naive and that I let myself believe it was Y/n calling from some local number after maybe she saw me yesterday.

"Hello" I answered Jimin's call.

"Good morning boss. How are you feeling today?" He asked aware I wasn't in my best mood last night after he had to drag me from that place.    

"Yeah, get ready we have to leave my 9:30 am." I told him and hung up before he got to reply.

By 10 am we ready to Mr. Laurent office and he apologized for not being able to pick her from airport which I found weird he didn't have to apologize after all it was Jimin's idea to take Taxi. Moving forward we started the meeting after all the formalities, and it was safe to say I might have just signed the biggest project of my life.

Mr. Laurent and I both stood up as we shake hand after signing the paperwork. We both laughed as we could see this project is going to be so successful.

"Oh, one more thing Mr. Kim and Mr. Park, well it's on short notice but I'd like to invite you both to my nephew's wedding tonight." Mr. Laurent told us which was surprising, but we agreed to show up anyway because not like we had any excuse to reject his invitation and also this could help us bond together.

I smiled, "Sure we'll come to the wedding." I said as we finally exited the meeting room. Me and Jimin sat down in car that was Mr. Laurent's, he has promised to provide us the transport for as we stay here which was convenient.

When I reached the hotel, I threw myself off the bed and shut my eyes and soon drifted into deep slumber.

With a long sigh I placed Alice's phone back on the counter when I received no response because he isn't picking up because it's a new number. But what if he changed his number as well, well that thought never crossed my mind.

I stared at myself in the mirror I looked pretty it was Alice said after all she was the one who did my makeup and hairstyle for tonight. Although in my own world I forgot about the singing show at a wedding event today, but Alice was the one who reminded me last night before bed for which I was grateful.

"What's wrong? He is not answering the call?" Alice's asked and I just nodded my head.

"It's okay... I'll keep trying once you get to performance." She said fixing my earrings. Alice gave me her peach color dress and white heels. She put my hair in a half do and I looked and so pretty after so long.
