Sonic pov:

I can't believe it's day 3 and I'm already hated in the school. Heh funny.

I walk inside the building and find most of the girls giving me death glares. Some follow me asking me how I got so close to Shadow even though I just got here. I tried my best to ignore but I get stopped by what seems to be the popular girls.

???: So YOURE Sonic? And what's so special about you anyways? Shadow just met you and you're this close to him?

Sonic: and you are?

???:*scoff* I'll have you know I'm the leader of this schools cheer team. Sally Acorn? Ring a bell?

Sonic: ok. I still don't know you. Goodbye.

I leave and hear Sally yelling at me to come back

Sally: HEY UGLY GET BACK HERE OR ILL-

Shadow: or you'll what?

Shadow stands infront of me and I notice that the girls that were all glaring at me started to tremble in fear. Shadow then grabbed my arm.

Shadow: You guys are the worst. Really? After some simple image you guys decide to bully the new kid? Pathetic. Let's go Sonic. They're not worth your time.

Shadow POV:

I take Sonic to the music room making sure no one saw us going there. God the girls here are ruthless.

Shadow: Sonic are you okay? You don't look like your cheery self. Those bitches probably did worse than I thought...

After saying that, Sonic began to burst in tears. I was surprised but mostly angry. 'They made her cry' was the only thing I could think before I immediately hugged her.

Sonic: d-dont get me w-wrong I-I'm used to haters but it's my t-third day... T-thats just messed u-up...

Shadow: Sonic don't listen to what they say. They've been like this since the beginning of highschool. Sonic I promise you I will do everything I can to make sure you don't ever have to feel like this again. I never want to see you cry. Sonic I-

I cover my mouth before I said it. Shit I was about to confess my feelings for her! It's too soon. Wait a bit until you guys know each other well enough Shadow!

Sonic: you?

I grab her shoulders and make her look at me.

Shadow: I wanna see you happy always. I promise you I'll protect you.

Sonic looked like she was calming down. I felt a little relaxed about the whole situation and then, suddenly, Sonic pulls me in for another hug. I won't lie, I was a little surprised.

Sonic: Thank you Shadow...

We stay like this for a moment until I think about what to do now. I mean it's before school. I could ask her if she wants to skip school and take the day off.

Shadow: Hey Sonic?

Sonic: ...

Shadow: Sonic? *looks down*

Sonic:...

I push Sonic away from the hug but notice she instead hugs me tighter.

Sonic: noo...zzz

Shadow: pfft. Are you asleep?

Sonic:zzzz

I'll take that as a yes. Well since Sonic is asleep, it was up to me to decide on what to do. Stay here or have a day off with her. I should wake her up just incase

Shadow: hey Sonic. Can you wake up for one second?

Sonic:...mmm...ok...

Shadow: *chuckles* it's still early, do you wanna leave and have a day off or stay in school?

Sonic:.....fine....

Shadow: fine?

Sonic: yes

Shadow: Fine as in let's leave or let's stay?

Sonic: *fully awake* Fine as in let's leave! And let me sleep!

Shadow: Alright. Let's go. If you want I can carry you while you're asleep.

Sonic: haha yeah why not? But after we get out of school?

I nod and then we both leave the school. Obviously everyone would notice if we left from the entrance, so, we decided to jump out of the window since it was easier to not get noticed that way.

Sonic: alright now that we're out, what should we do?

Shadow: well, we could go to my place-

What the hell am I thinking? 'Go to my place'? That's extremely suspicious! I can't just ask that!

Shadow: u-uhm you can forget that.

Sonic: nah Im down to crash at your place. But first, let's go get snacks and stuff to have a sleepover party! I call dibs on cotton candy!

Sonic then grabs my hand and pulls me to a candy store. Well I guess I'm having a sleepover now. With the girl I have a crush on. Shadow you need to control yourself.
