Mephiles Pov:

Me and the gang are at PE and Scourge and Rouge are looking around.

Rouge: where's Shadow Meph? You're always with him!

Mephiles: idk guys. Last time I saw him was in the bathroom.

Scourge: hmmm... Hey look! Shadow's over there! Looks like he's talking to someone tho... Oh maybe it's that girl he likes!

Rouge immediately looks over and has this huge smile on her face.

Rouge: OMG YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT!!! IM GOING OVER THERE LETS GO GUYS!!!

Rouge and Scourge then run over to them. I facepalm and head over there too since I got nothin else to do. Before I get there I bump into this dude it's white hair.

???: Oh! I'm sorry!

Mephiles: it's okay.

I walk away but I feel weird. That guy looked pretty cute... I need to find out who he is...

Shadow POV:

I was talking to Sonic about stuff when I hear Rouge yelling my name. I see her and Scourge charging at me and Mephiles just walking over. Shit, they must've noticed that Sonic's the one Im interested in.

Rouge: Heyyy Shadow~ how's it going? Oh! Look at this cutie! Hi! My name is Rouge! Are you Shadow's friend?~

Rouge is giving me this smirk ugh she can get annoying sometimes... Scourge on the other hand seems shocked to see her.

Sonic: haha my name's Sonic. Nice to meet you!

Sonic looks at Scourge and after a few seconds jumps up and hugs him. I'm kinda jealous... But they must be some old friends.

Sonic: SHHH Scourge! Don't just go and say that out in public!

Shadow: um Sonic? Scourge? How do you guys know each other?

Scourge: oh yeah! So like, before I moved to the US, I grew up in Japan with Sonic and her siblings! We would always get into trouble!

Shadow: Oh so childhood friends. I see- wait, Sonic you have siblings?

Sonic: oh yeah! We're triplets and their names are Sonia and Manic. They're still in Japan living with our mother but maybe I can convince them to come here too! Oh! Scrouge~ Someone misses you tonsss~

Scourge: O-oh? *blushes* Is it who I think it is?

Sonic begins to giggle a little and nods making Scourge start asking Sonic a lot of questions. Hmmm... Maybe I can ask Scourge about her background... And I heard him say something odd about her. I wonder what that's all about...

As we go to the track field, everyone is watching me and the girls are cheering at me. You see, I'm super athletic and the fastest runner in the school. Everyone loves to watch me when I'm doing a sport or just anything at this point. Anyways, I begin to run really fast and everyone is cheering at me. Sonic looks impressed, heh. She's cheering too...

Sonic Pov:

Wow! Shadow can run as fast as me! I'll challenge him to a race!

Sonic: yo Shadow! Race me!

Shadow looks at me dumbfounded as he slows down while appraching me.

Shadow: Are you sure? You just saw me run right?

Sonic: Yep! And I challenge you to a race. Oh I get it... you think you can't beat me! it's cool. I'll be slow~ *smirking*

Shadow: Oh. It. Is. On!

No one pov:

Sonic and Shadow walk over to the track field and get ready to race.

Tails: Ok I guess I'll count down. 3, 2, 1... GO!

Just like that the two blast through the field. Shadow is surprised as hell since he never thought he would meet his match in running. Sonic looks over at him smirking and then teases him as she begins to go faster.

Shadow POV:

Damnit I can't catch up... I'm too shocked to really go faster. We reach the final lap and Sonic is a whole foot ahead. I get it together and reach her but we end up tying.

Sonic: whew! That was fun Shadz! Oh-um... Can I call you that?

Shadow: huh? Oh yeah it's fine-hold on- I'm trying to get it together real quick.

Sonic: Ha! No way you're tired now!

Shadow: nah it's more like the shock is still there. I never thought I would meet my match-I MEAN-

Sonic: LOL it's okay I get what you mean.

Wait.. there's no way.. she feels the same for me?

Sonic: I mean we match in speed! But I'll make sure I'm fastest!
