Sonadow: Idol in Highschool

Chapter 16

Sonic POV:
I wake up and I see Shadow already up. He seems to be getting dressed and I fall of the bed cuz I'm too surprised at this. Shadow turns around and picks me up and I blush as he's shirtless and I can see his muscles. No wonder he's always saying he'll protect me, he's ripped! I didn't notice I was poking at his muscles till Shadow grabbed my hand. I looked up in embarrassment and ran outta there. I then check my phone and it's 6:20??? I gotta get ready for school! Since I grabbed clothes from home yesterday I went back in to quickly get my stuff and ran to the bathroom to get ready. After all that I rush downstairs and grab a pancake Mephiles made and I'm eating there happily.
Mephiles: Well good morning to you too Sonic.
Sonic: Oh my bad, good morning!
As I'm eating my breakfast I hear footsteps walking downstairs and I see Shadow who's ready too.

Shadow: Morning.

I blush a little as I remember what I saw when I woke up. I turn around and eat my breakfast but then Shadow walks over to me and pecks my cheek. This is too much!

Sonic: I-I uhh, morning.
Mephiles: So are you guys gonna reveal to everyone that you guys are a thing now.

Oh yeah. I completely forgot about that. I look at Shadow who seems conflicted on what to do about it.

Shadow: idk yet. I mean I don't mind it but then again the girls that always follow me might target Sonic for something. Sonic what do you think?
Sonic: mmmm....maybe we can keep it a secret for a bit and maybe...?
Shadow: That's a good idea. Just for a bit until I'm sure you'll be safe.
Sonic: Shadz I'm not weak. I can take care of myself just fine!

I playfully punch Shadow's arm and he chuckles a little

Shadow: You're right Sonic. Okay then let's keep it a secret for a bit. Let's get going guys.

We all leave the house and we all start running to school. I didn't realize Mephiles could also run as fast as us and it honestly caught me by surprise! We find our friends and I wave at Shadow and Mephiles as I head over to my friend group.

Sonic: Hey guys! How's it going?
Tails: Hi Sonic! The birthday party was so cool! I didn't know you could sing so well.

Everyone started hovering over me telling me how great my singing was. I was kinda embarrassed about it cuz I went overboard on the singing. As we enter the building, more people started walking over to me telling me how great my singing was. I felt embarrassed but I tried my best to keep it cool. I reach my first class and I spot Shadow and I sit next to him. He gives me a smile and I smile back.

Sonic: *whispers* are we meeting up at the music room today?
Shadow nods and suddenly, I get elbowed by Scourge who's walking over to the seat behind us.
Scourge: Hey loveb-
Shadow: shh! We're keeping it a secret for a bit.
Scourge: Ohhh my bad. Sonic, I think you got some new fans. I was walking down the hall and all I was hearing was 'Sonic's so cool!' 'Her singing was awesome' Yeah, like my singing wasn't superior than yours. *smirks*
Sonic: Scourge! You knew what would happen if you put me on a stage to sing! If you wanted to shine, don't put a star next to you! *laughs*
Scourge: Okay, Idol, I'm sorry for wanting my friend to have fun!
Shadow: Idol?

Crap. I completely forgot that Shadow didn't know! I turn over to Shadow and he has a confused look on his face.

Sonic: *whispers* I'll tell you later. I completely forgot to say that earlier!
Shadow nods and then class starts.

-Lunch-
Phew! Finally I get to go to the music room! I secretly head over there avoiding the people trying to talk to me about the party. I enter the room and I see Shadow already there.

Shadow: Wow I'm the first one here.
Sonic: hey! Look everyone's still going crazy about the party and my singing. It was kinda embarrassing...
Shadow: speaking of singing, can you tell me about what you and Scourge were talking about?
Sonic: Oh yeah.
