The trio had arrived at King's Cross Station in London. Up on a crossing bridge, Harry, with his cart of his baggage, equipment and Hedwig, walked beside Hagrid. Dayton was walking ahead of them with his cart and Chester. A couple looked at Hagrid, suspiciously.

"What're you looking at?" Hagrid asked, before checking his watch. "Blimey, is that the time? Sorry, lads, I'm gonna have to leave you. Dumbledore'll be wanting his... well, he'll be wanting to see me. Now, uh, your train leaves in 10 minutes. Here are your tickets."

He handed Harry and Dayton each a ticket. "Stick to it, that's very important. Stick to your ticket."

Just like that, the half-giant was gone, leaving the two boys to their own devices. Harry and Dayton examined their tickets, becoming very confused when they saw their platform number.

"Platform 9¾?" Harry read. "But, surely there must be a mistake. This says Platform 9¾. There's no such thing... is there?"

Dayton merely shrugged his shoulders, and went up to ask a guard.

"Excuse me, sir." He said. "Can you tell me where I might find Platform 9¾?"

The guard stared at the boy. "9¾?" He asked incredulously. "Think you're being funny, do ya?" He walked off.

Dayton shrugged his shoulders again and made his way back to Harry. "Boring conversation anyway."

Harry and Dayton then noticed a woman, daughter, and four boys walking by, pushing carts. Dayton couldn't help but observe that they all had red hair.

"It's the same year after year. Always packed with Muggles, of course." The woman said.

"Muggles?" Harry and Dayton said to each other in unison as they watched the family.

"Come on. Platform 9¾, this way!" The woman instructed. "All right, Percy, you first."

A tall boy with red hair, whose name was apparently Percy, came forward and ran towards a brick wall. Amazingly, he disappeared right into it, amazing the two children looking on.

"Fred, you next." The woman said to one of the identical twins.

"He's not Fred, I am!" The other twin spoke up.

"Honestly, woman, you call yourself our mother." The first twin added.

The woman shook her head. "Oh, sorry, George."

He walked towards the brick wall. "Only joking, I am Fred." He smirked, before running through the wall, followed by his twin brother. Harry and Dayton shook their heads in disbelief, before approaching the family.

"Excuse me!" Harry said. "C-could you tell us how to–"

"How to get on the platform?" The woman said to them. "Yes, not to worry, dears. It's Ron's first time at Hogwarts as well." She put her hand on the shoulder of the youngest red-haired boy, who smiled.

"Now, all you've got to do is walk straight at the wall between platforms 9 and 10." The mother instructed. "Best do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous."

"Good luck," the youngest girl said to them.

The two boys took a breath and ran at the wall. They shut their eyes, expecting to ram straight into the brick wall any second. But it never came. They decided to open their eyes, but when they did, a magnificent sight awaited them.

They were standing in a station, with a sign that read "Platform 9¾" on it. On the tracks stood a red steam locomotive, which had the name Hogwarts Express embossed on it, and bundles of people milled about the station. The train's whistle sounded, and the two boys gave a sigh of relief.
