General POV
It was another beautiful day on the base currently Missouri and DL were at the target range. This was mostly to train DL, seeing as he wasn't able to use his rigging, during the first battle he was in he was still just using his magic, not his rigging.
Of course, this happens with ships who were built but not used, leading to them not having full familiarity with their systems. Alongside Missouri, teaching DL, was HMS Monarch since she was his 'sister'.
Missouri: Ok, let's start by trying to fire a salvo.
DL: Alright, FIRE!!!
(0:20-0:34)
DL: Huh, nothing happene-
*BANG*
DL: AH
Missouri: Um, ok-?
Monarch: Why was that only 1 barre-
*BANG*
DL: AH!!!!
*BANG*
After that DL's rigging stopped firing, after that was done Missouri spoke.
Missouri: We have a long road ahead.
Montage time
- They started by working on firing his guns at the same time, Monarch went first firing all of her guns at once, DL got this one pretty easily.
-The next exercise involved accuracy, of course Missouri set up 2 targets one for himself and one for DL, Missouri went first; absolutely obliterating the first target with all 9 of his shells hitting their marks, all of DL's shells missed
-The last exercise involved maneuverability, Monarch borrowed a torpedo boat and launched a few torpedoes at Missouri and DL, Missouri dodged all the torpedoes by throwing himself around as if he were a destroyer, DL however was hit multiple times by training torpedoes.
- Over the next 2 hours Missouri and Monarch taught DL everything he needed to know about being a kansen, he eventually got on Missouri's level of accuracy, but he was only on Hood's level of maneuvering, but this was okay since Missouri was normally on this level of maneuverability anyway.
Montage end
Missouri: Alright, we made some nice progress, but we're gonna have to get to the beach.
DL: What for?
Missouri: The assessment thing remember.
DL: Oh, right. Well wish us luck sis.
With that Missouri and DL departed for the beach.
Monarch: Good luck you 2!
After a few minutes the duo had met up with Yamato, Kurfurst, and New Jersey. But then Missouri's radars picked up squadron upon squadron of planes, all of which were flying in an attack pattern.
Missouri: Shit, GET DOWN!!!
As soon as he said this a squadron of planes did a strafing round just above the squad. This got the division of battleships on high alert. They all summoned their riggings with Missouri, New Jersey, and Yamato being their main radar stations.
