General POV
We pick up the morning after last chapter, a team of divers were set to preform recon to determine the depth of the canal. Meanwhile Team MDGY were having a discussion on Missouri's bridge.
Missouri: I'll be honest with you guys. I think we need another back up plan, just in case this main plan goes awry.
DL: Like how?
Yamato: Hmm, maybe the coral has to blow up too soon, or the distraction isn't good enough.
Kurfurst: Or worse, that mole decides 'Alright time to act, let's grab this bitch and go!'
Missouri: I didn't even think of that! Alright, I was thinking, Destiny, you have an illusion spell?
DL: Yeah..........why?
Missouri: We're going to take a page out of Emerald's book. We'll use that spell as a diversion while the real us move in for an attack.
Yamato: I dunno why, but I have a very itchy trigger finger. I'm in!
Kurfurst: Me too! God I hate the Russians.
DL: Well, this plan would be a dud without me. I'm in! I'll start working on the spell today.
Missouri: Alright, you can use the CO's at-sea cabin, I usually sleep on top of the bridge and under the stars anyway.
DL: Didn't need to know that, but alright, I'll take you up on that offer.
As the meeting was adjourned and the group made their way out of Missouri's bridge New Jersey, who was walking down below on her brother's deck, spotted them.
NJ: Morning Bro! Hey Yamato! Good day Kurfurst! Hi honey!~
After she greeted them she went into Missouri's superstructure, but the effects of that last greeting wasn't exactly.....positive.
Missouri: *with a shadow covering his eyes* Destiny, what did she mean by honey?
DL: *blushing and scared* Wait, Missouri, it's not what it looks like!
Missouri: *readies a bat* So you're not dating my sister....
DL: ..............ok it's exactly what it sounds like......but hear me ou-AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Destiny was spotted again a few minutes later, alive but badly injured. A simple healing spell later and he was able to start warming up the spell. The divers from the Nathan James also decided now was the time to act and went to do recon. Missouri was patched in via com link and was watching s monitor in his CIC room, the rest of the Kansen were just doing their daily routines.
Sailor 69: Oh this place is beautiful. Reminds me of my honeymoon footage....or at least what I let people see.
Lt. Green: It's comments like those that probably led to your divorce.
Missouri: Oof.
Sailor 69: Well, the good news is that this canal is better than we thought, only real problem is the outcropping which is probably coral.
Sailor 68: Yeah, we need to blow the coral for a clean pass.
Sailor 69: Hold on, I'll take you to the surface.
The camera shows they've surfaced near a much shallower bank than they were expecting, meaning that the coral was causing most of the depth.
Sailor 68: We can blow it, but it'll make one hell of a boom.
