Preston's POV
It's been almost a week since we arrived in Bloodfang territory, and almost every time we talked it somehow turned into an argument we eventually laughed off and moved on. Estrella and I were going to leave the next day so we wanted to do something special for the pack, as a thank you of sorts.

My idea was hunt for them. What pack wouldn't appreciate having food without having to do the work? But of course Es came back with how we'd be giving them their own meat, it's like taking someone's money to buy them a gift. Stupid. So I'd asked what her idea was and she just grinned before leaving me alone in the cave we shared while we were here.

It was nice, there was a big mahogany bed frame, a comfortable mattress with a floral bedspread -I wasn't really into it but I'd be leaving soon so I didn't really care-, a couple of animal carcasses were on the floor to act as rugs and a separate cave that branched off the main one with books and a nice spot to sit to read.

I was bored out of my mind and it had only been ten minutes when Akari trotted over casually, looking grim.

"Hey, sooooooo don't panic or anything, but Estrella may or may not have gotten kidnapped and-"
A panicked growl-squeak escaped me.
"I said /don't panic/!"

"Border patrol said some wolves from the Thief pack took her, we're not sure why though and we're-"
I cut her off as I pushed past her, following her scent trail back to the spot Es had been apparently taken from.

I was sure my eyes were completely blue as I sniffed and searched, but it was like no one was even here, and it irritated me.

They have mate............ get mate back!

I snarled angrily and slashed my claws across a tree, leaving thick marks.

Two days. Two days have gone by and we still haven't figured out where Estrella was taken, I'm practically loosing my mind over this and my wolf snaps at anyone who dares to tell us to stay calm.

I was getting tired of this game, the kidnappers will pay for taking /my/ mate. They'll suffer a fate far worse than death, I'll make sure of it.

"-Are you even listening to me?" My mother's voice broke me from my thoughts and I blinked at her.
"Sorry, what we're you saying?"
She sighed, disappointed no doubt. "I said you should mark her as soon as possible, maybe if you had already done so she wouldn't have gotten kidnapped."
"I've told you mom, I'm not marking her until she's ready. Besides, if anything she'd get kidnapped more when I mark her, people will know how much she really means to me."

This argument has been on repeat since Es got taken, but no matter what my mother says I can't mark her without her consent, I'm not a jerk, though I could feel my wolf howling at the thought of marking and completely the mating process with the one made for him.

"I know that you miss her son, we'll get her back." The promise was as empty as ever, and to be honest, I feel the exact same without my mate.

Estrella's POV
I'm not entirely sure how long I've been crammed in this silver cage with my wrists and ankles chained to the floor of said cage. All I know is they've only brought me food twice, it could've been a few hours, days, or maybe even weeks, though the last one is unlikely, I didn't feel very hungry when they brought it.

So far as long as I stayed quiet they only took some blood samples and had me walk around a room in nothing but a very revealing white and golden dress. The sides were open to reveal my legs almost to my hips, a small piece of cloth went from my neck to my waist but even then it didn't cover my chest completely, two small strips went across my chest to cover that, not very well I might add.
