Sonia woke up in a room with a book in the middle of it. She noticed something else, a light. It was moving! She looked down and saw that she herself was also light "Why am I a light?!" Hello! If you're reading this then I'm certain you have a lot of questions, like who who I am and what is this place. Who I am doesn't matter as much as the information I can give to you. So just keep reading and you may just find the answers you seek. First and foremost if you are reading this you are dead. The life you lived as eventful as it was ceased the moment you chose to engage in this allegedly fictitious world. Fortunately death here is not as permanent as one would assume. For you in particular, you have been given a second chance. Whereas most mankind has crumbled in this place you have been chosen by me to take part in something far greater than your old life. Here you will be granted a new opportunity to live again and make your mark on the history of this world. You will be reborn in canine flesh. What you choose to do with this knowledge as well as this new life is for you to decide. You may choose to pursue what's left of mankind across the cosmos, or help to heal the wounds of this world... The choice is yours. Its cold. Bitterly so, and awful creatures stalk the night. If you do die while you are out there know that I can bring you back, but only so many times before even I grow tired of your failures. The first thing Sonia felt was cold. Her eyes shot open at the feeling and she looked around to see snow everywhere, it was even falling down heavily. She saw a grey wolf next to her stirring awake. "We're wolves!" Sonia exclaimed "Well that book did say we'd be reborn in canine flesh" The grey wolf said "I suppose we should work together, I'm Sonia" Sonia said "I'm Chiaki" The grey wolf replied "It's so cold" Sonia said "We're lucky to at least be wolves and not humans, we'd be colder as humans" Chiaki said "I suppose you're right" Sonia replied "Maybe we can get supplies that will help us stay warm" Chiaki said "Like fur" She continued "I suppose" Sonia said and the two started walking. They walked for a while until they saw a rabbit "Well I suppose a rabbit is something" Chiaki said "I'll see if I can catch it, it could be quite fun" Sonia said and dashed at the rabbit. As soon as she got close something wrapped around her and she was pulled into the air "What's happening?!" Sonia exclaimed "It's a trap! Hold on I'll try to get you down" Chiaki said running over. Sonia then noticed all the noise happening and looked over to see cans tied to the string of the net holding her up "Who would set up a trap like this if humans aren't here?" Sonia asked "Maybe there are others like us?" Chiaki asked and then the two heard approaching pawsteps. They looked and saw a pale yellow wolf followed by a brown wolf "So there are more like us" The yellow one said "Please we don't mean any harm we were just brought here and were trying to provide a way to be more warm by using animal fur" Sonia said "Why use animal fur? Armor provides better warmth" The brown wolf said "We didn't know like Sonia said we were just brought here" Chiaki said "I see, I'll get you out of the trap and send you on your way, as long as you don't bother us we won't bother you" The yellow wolf said before releasing Sonia from the net "Wait! You two seem experienced in this world, could we stay with you?" Sonia asked "We don't even know you, why should we?" The yellow wolf asked "Plus it just means more mouths to feed and it's already to tiresome to keep us fed" The brown wolf said "Please! We can help you get food just please let us join you!" Sonia pleaded. The yellow wolf sighed "We'll at least give you some food, armor, basic tools and a sleeping bag and backpack" She said "Thanks, we appreciate your generosity" Chiaki said "By the way what are your names?" Sonia asked "I'm Annie, this is Hitch" The yellow wolf said nodding her head to the brown wolf "Hitch can you go get the supplies for them, I don't exactly want to bring them near out home" Annie said and Hitch groaned "Fine" She said and ran off. A few minutes later she came back and gave the two backpacks "All of your supplies are in there" She said "Thank you, now I guess we should leave now" Chiaki said "Yes, goodbye you two" Sonia said and the two walked away. They walked for a while before Sonia spoke up "I'm getting quite tired, maybe we should find a home like they did?" She said "I mean there are all these buildings around" Chiaki said and they entered one only to find monsters "Ahh! What are those!?" Sonia asked "I think they're zombies, that book did say there were creatures that stalked the night" Chiaki replied "Plus they don't seem to be bothered by us" She continued "We should stay here, were protected by the snow here" Chiaki said setting her sleeping bag down "I guess so..." Sonia replied still bothered by the monsters. The two then fell asleep in the building even with the groans of the zombies, hisses of the spiders and creepers, and the rattling of the skeletons.
