The Thieves

Annie woke up in the treehouse next to Hitch who was still asleep, she had figured she'd still be asleep due to her laziness. She noticed she was hungry and went to the food chest to look for some food like watermelon since it would also satisfy her thirst. Though she couldn't find it when she swore she had put some in there just yesterday. She decided to wake up Hitch and ask her "Hey do you know where the watermelon is?" She asked "No I haven't even touched it" She sleepily said. Annie decided to go to the farm to get some more watermelon but she noticed that they were all picked. 'Someone's been here!' She thought and started looking around for any sign of anyone. She then came across some black fur with a wolf paw print near it. 'It has to be Makomo! She must know where we live!' Annie thought and went back up the treehouse to get Hitch "Hitch! Someone stole from us and I think I know just who it is" She said "Stole? No one knows where we live though!" She replied "It has to be those two new wolves, they said they had been watching us" Annie said "We have to confront them about this, I knew they were bad news!" Annie said and ran out of the treehouse with Hitch following her. They looked around for any sign of the two but ended up finding Kagami and Marinette instead "You two! Do you know where Makomo and Sabito are?" She asked "They're probably at their den" Marinette said "You've been to there den? Where is it?" Annie asked "Why would we tell you? You obviously don't trust anyone here" Kagami said "Because I have evidence to believe they stole from us!" Annie said "They wouldn't steal! They were friendly" Marinette said "Then why did I find black fur and wolf paw prints in our farm? They're the only ones that possibly know where we live!" Annie growled "We didn't steal from you" Someone said and Annie whipped her head around to see Makomo and Sabito "How do we know that you're telling the truth?" Hitch asked "Because someone found our den and stole from us" Sabito said "That's a lie!" Annie growled "Then why did we see them run this way?" Makomo asked "We saw a black wolf run this way, they were attempting to steal some of our supplies" Sabito said "We should find this culprit before they cause more problems" Kagami said "Why should we trust those two?" Hitch said "We need to work together if we're going to catch this thief!" Kagami said "Why don't we just search together, we don't even have to talk" Marinette said "Fine" Annie growled and the wolves started going the way Makomo and Sabito said they saw the wolf run. They ended up in a forest. Annie heard humming and looked through a bush to see a black wolf with mauve eyes. Annie suddenly pounced on the wolf and she screamed "How dare you steal from us?!" She growled "Rin! Help!" The wolf yelled and soon another black wolf came out of the bushes and pounced on Annie. The two wrestled for a bit before Sabito spoke up "Enough!" He yelled and the two clashing wolves stopped. The black wolf quickly backed away from Annie and stood in between everyone and the other black wolf "Why'd you steal from us?" Annie growled "We needed food! We can barely see well enough to hunt so when I found your home and that it had food I took the opportunity" The male one said "You're a foolish boy thinking you can get away with this" Hitch said "I'm not a boy! I'm a girl!" The wolf said "It's called being transgender!" She continued "Well either way you're foolish to steal from us" Annie said "Though why steal? We would've happily aided you" Makomo said "We didn't know you, and these two are obviously more hostile than the rest of you" The black eyed wolf said "If you don't mind me asking but what are your names?" Kagami asked "I'm Rin, this is Futaba" The black eyed wolf said "Well you two, would you like to stay with us? We could help protect and keep you fed, maybe we could also help with your vision problem" Sabito said. "You're letting them stay with you when they tried to steal from you?" Annie asked "We're in this together, we need to be able to work together and trust each other" Makomo said "She's right, we need to work together" Marinette said "We should inform Sonia and Chiaki about Rin and Futaba" Kagami said "We should all go together, we can talk and get to know each other" Sabito said "Why do we have to come?" Hitch asked "So we can learn to trust each other" Sabito replied and they started making their way to the building Sonia and Chiaki lived. They arrived and Marinette went inside to get the two. They came out and they introduced themselves to Rin and Futaba. "Now let's take you two to our den, in fact Hitch, Annie, you two come as well, you should know where we live so we can trust each other more" Makomo said. The two reluctantly agreed and headed to the den "It's behind a waterfall? How'd you find this?" Hitch asked "It's a long story" Sabito said "Basically I got caught in the river, fell off the waterfall and saw the cave while falling" Makomo said "That's... Interesting" Annie said "Well anyway we know where you live so we should go now" Hitch said "No no we insist that you stay, we can get to know each other better" Sabito said pulling Hitch back as she tried to walk away. Annie sighed at what she had gotten herself into
