"Annie sweetie are you ready?" My mom asks me.
"Yea!"I say.
I grab my backpack and phone and walk out of my room.
I walk into the kitchen and grab an apple.
"I'm leaving mom!" I say; walking out the door.
"Ok have a good day sweetie!" My mom tells me.
I close the door and fill the cool air on my skin.
As I walk I see the most popular boy in school, Finnick, who I also have a huge crush on.
As I get to school I see my friends and go over to them.
Hey Annie!" Katniss says.
"Hey-" I get cut off by Delly walking over to us.
"Hey weirdo. Are you and Finnick in a relationship yet? Oh wait he wouldn't ever date you! He wouldn't dare date the dummest and the ugliest girl in this school!" Delly tells me.
"Why can't you ever just leave me alone?!" I shout.
Delly smirks.
"Because you need to know how the school sees you!" She tells me.
"LEAVE HER ALONE DELLY!" I hear my friends yell.
I feel arms wrap around my shoulders and see Katniss. I smile slightly.
I feel tears slip down my cheeks and Delly laughs.
"Aww can't stick up for yourself?" She says.
I see Peeta walk up to her and slap her.
"We said leave her alone!" Peeta says.
Delly scoffs and walks off.
We stand there shocked. Peeta has never been a violent person.
"Hopefully she won't mess with you again," Peeta tells me.
I give him a small smile.
"Thanks for helping me," I say gratefully.
"No problem!" They tell me.
The bell rings and we walk to class. Peeta and Marvel walking with me since we have the same class first period.
