Finnick Finds Out

"I-I'm sorry," I say and turn to run the other way but I feel his hand wrap around my wrist.

"It's ok. You don't have to apologize and are you crying?" He asks.

I didn't even realize till now that I am crying. I quickly wipe my face.

"No I'm not!" I say.

He looks at me skeptically.

"It's ok. I'm not going to laugh at you," he tells me.

I sniffle.

"Shouldn't you be in class?" I ask; looking at the ground.

"I could ask you the same thing," he says.

He puts his hand under my chin and lifts my face up to look at him. I bite my lip.

I look at him. I've never realized just how beautiful his sun kissed skin and sea green eyes were until now.

I hear someone shouting Finnick's name and realize that it's Delly. I free myself from Finnick's grasp and take off running back into the school.

At lunch
I walk over to our usual table and see Katniss sitting there. I sit down and we start talking.

"Where are the others?" I ask.

"They went to get food," she tells me. I nod.

I see Delly and her friends walking over to Finnick's table and I sigh.

"What's-" Katniss starts but follows my gaze and stops herself.

"Annie don't let Delly get to you," she tells me.

I look back at her and our friends surround us.

Cato, Peeta, Marvel, and Gale are talking about some party that they are throwing but I zone out.

I've zoned out a lot since my father died. I stare at a tree until I see someone snapping in front of my face.

I shake my head and look at Marvel since he was the one snapping in my face.

"You good Annie?" He asks me.

"Yea I'm fine. Just zoned out I guess," I say.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Are you gonna come to the party?" Clove asks me.

I shrug.

"Aww come on Annie! It'll be fun!" Glimmer tells me.

"I'll think-" I start but get cut off by someone behind me.

I turn around and see Delly with her friends standing behind me.

"What do you want?" I ask her.

"Oh I was just wanting to tell you that your little crush on Finnick is going to end now because he's off limits," she tells me; smirking.

I then see one of her friends recording this.

I see everyone watching us right now.

My eyes land on Finnick and he looks at me.

The tears start falling from my eyes before I can stop them and I stand up and start sprinting to the bathroom and I lock myself in a stall.

Finnick's POV
When I see Delly walking over to the "weird" groups table I sigh.

I then see Alison, one of Dellys friends, recording everything.

I sigh again and turn back to my friends.

I then hear "you're little crush on Finnick" and I look over and see one of the girls at the table look at me and tears fall from her eyes and she starts sprinting away.

I get up and walk over to Delly.

"What the hell did you do now?" I ask her.

"And Alison delete the video that you just took!" I demand.

"I didn't do anything," she tells me; smiling innocently.

One of the girls at the table stands up and walks over. She has brown hair and gray eyes.

"You want to know what she did? She just humiliated my friend in front of everybody! Now she is going to pay!" The girl says and jumps on top of Delly.

Delly starts screaming and the girl punches Delly in the face and one of the boys comes over and lifts her off of Delly.

The whole group leaves and I stand there.

"Finnick help me," Delly says.

"You're fine," I tell her and walk back to my table.
