I'd like to start by saying. Holy frick 1.5k likes, like- thank you to everyone who likes and ready my work and who follows me, it really means a lot to me, thank you so much^-^

Work was going normal today, getting into uniform and going to meet with my hero partner, endevour. I was honestly surprised when he picked me to be his sidekick, considering he works a lone, but I would never pass that opportunity up, so of coarse I agreed.

My quirk is called devils fire, which is basically black fire. I don't have many techniques with it, but hopefully one day I will.

"So endeavor, what's on the agenda today?" I ask and I walk up to him.

"I'm sending you on a scouting mission." He tells me in his usual serious voice.

"Really, now?"

He nods once. "To look for a villain known as dabi, he's been causing trouble around here lately, burnt up bodies have been found in alley ways." He makes a face of disgust before continuing.

"I just want you to get his location secretly and get back to be about it, got that Y/n?"

I nod excited to get to work, my first mission he's entrusting me to do on my own. He gives me a sketch of what he looks like, and possible whereabouts before I head off on my own.

I already had two of the locations crossed off, no sign of villains anywhere, no people sighting this strange man. I studied the sketch of the man, he had spiky black hair, blue eyes, and scars covering almost all of his face, being held together by staples. I figured it must hurt, having staples holding together scared skin for days on end.

When I reached the last possible location I sigh, nothing. Just an alley. I close my eyes and lean against a wall. " I must be really awful if I can't find anything, Endeavor-sans going to be upset,"

"Endeavor?" I hear a man scoff. I open my eyes quickly and see a silhouette of a man at the opening of an alleyway.

"That old man's always upset." He sounded upset as he walked closer.

"How do you know him?" I ask, standing straight.

"News." As the man got closer I recognized some of the features. Black spiky hair, long trench coat, then I saw the scars and staples.

"You're Dabi." I mutter understand my breath, talking for only me to hear. Apparently he heard me.

"Yeah what of it?"

"Shouldn't you be worried?"

He scoffs again and puts his hands in his pockets. "Worried of what? A big scary hero, oh no." He seems to grin to himself at his sarcastic joke. "You think I'm scared of you? Funny, I'll just turn you into kindling." He holds one hand out and lights a blue flame in it.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, I'll stop you right here, and once endeavor hears where you're located," he cuts me off.

"You think he'll do anything about this? God you're hilarious." The blue flame grew larger.

"Yes he will, he's a good hero, you just think he's total crap because you're a villain." I light a small black flame in my hand, ready to defend myself from the villain.

"So, let me guess, he took you in, takes care of you, gives you special jobs that are usually for higher hero's huh? Says, 'you'll be a worthy predecessor.'" His voice was laced with anger as his eyes pierced mine.

"I. . How?" All of it was true, my family was poor, only enough money to get me into UA high, once I got internships I chose him, and later on he helped my family, helped me get more powerful, then once I graduated he took me as his sidekick, mentioning once that one day I could be  a worthy enough predecessor for him.

"He's just using you as a replacement, and since you're not his kid, he's treating ya well." He growls.

"What do you mean? He treats his kids great. How would you even know that?" I defend him, he was always nice to his kids when I was over to help train shoto.

The villain chuckles a bit. "I've, seen some things."

My brain started to piece things together the moment he said that. Touya. What if he was Touya, but I heard he died in a house fire, and Touya had red hair, not black. But the eyes and quirk matched, and the one picture I saw of Touya, I remembered, in the photo Touya had his arms and some of his neck wrapped and some scar showing which I never thought deeply on till now.

He sighed, noticing my silence.

"Well there I go, saying too much. That's never happened before." He re-lights the fire in his hand.

"Guess you'll just be more ash to the pile." I quickly block his fire with my own, but something about his attack, was similar. I throw down a smoke bomb for tight situations and make my escape.

'That wasn't Touya, just a coincidence. Touya's been dead years anyway.'

I run back to the agency to tell endeavor.
