It was nice to have a bond with Touya after the dance. You just didn't know that would soon change...
The next few weeks after the dance he would come to school with bandages around his arms and sometimes his neck. He acted more cold and silent, zoning everything and everyone out. Whenever you tried to talk to him he would give the shortest possible answer and make an excuse to leave. You eventually decided to leave him be, it was hard for you, your only other friend was on a trip with her family for a month and parents are not that fun.
You to, became silent , not talking or making conversation with people. You were worried about touya, him always coming to school injured, you wanted to know what was happening. So you tried to talk to him.
"Touya! Wait up!" You yell, jogging after him after school. He stops, but doesn't turn to face you. "I'm worried about you Tou..why have you been getting injured almost every day, and why do you keep blocking me and others out?" He stays silent, clenching his fist. He turns his head just enough to see you. "Non of your buisness." You widen your eyes, surprised by his words. "Tou, If you want we can talk.." You lay a gentle hand on his shoulder. He instantly stiffens and grabs tightly onto your wrist, causing you to wince a bit at his grip. He widens his eyes after a moment and quickly lets go. "Just, just leave me alone. And with that, he runs off. You watch him go a moment before you hear a voice call out to you. You turn to see your blonde haired friend, back from a across- country school. "Keigo!" You call happily. "How did I not see you all day?" You ask as he jogs up to you and hugs you. "I just go here in time for the last class." He says a bit muffled. He lets go of you and you fluff his hair.
:Your wings look as red as ever." You say and in return he gives a proud smile. "Thank you. How has your quirk been developing?" You light a small black flame in your hand and smile. "Pretty good, I didn't burn the house down yet. You both laugh and walk home together.
For the next 6 years you and Keigo became pretty much in-seperable.
You both went to UA together and graduated top of your class. You both became pro's, and you joined his hero agency. You and Keigo, also known as Hawks, are the best duo in town.
Tonight your taking over the night patrol so Hawks can rest up. The town was peacefully silent and dark. The streetlight and the moon now the only source of light. It was silent until you heard people shouting and a burst of flames. You notice two people leaving an alley, a girl and a taller male. You go to run after them, the girl noticing you and running, as for the man he stayed still, and before you reached him he turned around, widening his eyes. You start to feel like you've known him for years, then it hits you, his eyes were blue as an ocean, his scars where in the same stops but darker and burnt, his look still cold as the day you last saw him.
"T-Touya?" You ask, taking a step back. His gaze still on you, frozen in his spot. You hear him quietly mutter your name and you nod. "What happened to you?" He look down to the side, avoiding your question. "You dyed your hair?" He nods, looking at you. "I can see you did the same." His voice was now raspy, but still familiar. "Hey, yeah." You say holding a strand on your silver hair. Without a warning a knife is thrown into your shoulder. You wince in pain, looking around you quickly. "Dabi come on!" It was the girl from earlier, now pulling Touya away quickly. You pull the knife out of your shoulder and grin. You weren't happy because the girl and Touya were gone, you were happy of what Touya mouthed before he was pulled out of sight.
'The beach, 12am.'
