"hey you want to take a shower???" Jared asks as he shoves on a pair of shorts
"Oh yeh... You don't mind if I stay the night???" I ask walking towards the shower
"nah you can stay. Nobody ever comes to my house." Jared says as he puts his towel in the washing basket.
"cool. thanks" I say as I walk into the bathroom.
In the shower I'm thinking about the bet and Jared. We've been best friends for so long yet we've never showed interest in each other before. I wonder if he likes me or was this just a rebound from his ex????
I get out of the shower and put on a baggy t-shirt.
"hey uhh so does sleeping with me mean anything to you or is this just a rebound thing?" I ask drying my hair with the towel.
"Well yeh I know you have a boyfriend and I did break up with my girlfriend the other week. So I guess you could say it's a rebound thing. I mean like unless you don't want it to be." Jared answers awkwardly.
"I still love Kayden ok but he can't know we did this. And uhh I kind of like our friendship. I'm fine with kissing and shit but maybe next time we try not to fuck." I say as I climb into bed with him.
"yeh cool. Anyway should probably get some sleep big day tomorrow and your back at work right." Jared says as he yawns and goes to sleep.
"goodnight" I whisper as I drift off to sleep.
The next day I see a text from Tempest.
Tempest:*Heyyyy girllll so your manzzz definitely cheating on you with a whore blonde. She looks British
Holy shit!!!
Me:*Ok the bets definitely on!!!*
I get out of bed and I walk into Jared's kitchen where he's cooking pancakes.
"Hey sleepy head want food???" Jared asks looking away from the pan and looking at me
"Nah I got to run. I need to get home and file some papers before work. I'll get food on the way." I say as I walk over to him and give him a hug goodbye.
"Ok. I'll see you in 2 days then." Jared says
"Oh right it's Dion's wedding isn't it" I say as I grab my bag.
"Bruh how can you forget your literally one of the bridesmaids" Jared says as he flips a pancake onto a plate.
"I'm a busy person ok!" I say as I start to walk in the direction of Jared's front door.
"Ok well don't be late! Remember we got to be there at 2:30 not 3" Jared says then stuffs his face with food.
"Yeh yeh I got it" I say as I walk out the front door.
Holy shit I totally forgot Dion was getting married. He's been my friend for longer then Jared. I guess you don't realise how old they are these days. In high school I had a lot of friends and we were all young and not paying bills but now Dion's 19 and getting married!!! Time flies man.
I drive home but when I get there I see someone's car. It's either Kayden's parents or a basic bitch because who ever it is, drives a little Suzuki.
"Kayden!!! I'm home!!!" I yell as I open the door.
I walk towards the bedroom half expecting someone to be there. No one??? The house is empty!
What the fuck???
