Julieta's POV
"Thank you again, sir. I don't think I could have made it through this round without you showing me how to descale that fish," I thanked the young man who helped me.
He tipped his hat to me and smiled while replying, "it was my pleasure, ma'am."
"What is your name by the way? I never did catch it," I asked him.
He gave a kind smile to my. "Massimo Marcovaldo. And you?"
"Julieta Madrigal." He raised an eyebrow at me as if he recognized my name. But he just nodded at me.
"I have a daughter named Giulietta like you. She's about 15 now," he says.
I opened my mouth to say something when I heard my name being called.
"MOM!" I looked over to see Isabela running up to me. "Dad finally laid down for a nap. I'm starving, did you cook anything?" she asked as she hugged me.
I giggled and handed her some snacks I kept in my pocket.
"This is my eldest daughter out of my 3 girls. Isabela, meet Massimo Marcovaldo. He has helped me through the first task of the competition," I explained.
Massimo greets Isabela who curtsied back at him.
"Where is your sister and Camilo?" I asked her, brushing her hair back.
"They went upstairs to the room to rest for a while. They seemed tired from exploring Portorosso. Mirabel got a lot of nice pictures though," she explained to me.
"We whole all have dinner tonight. Your daughters, your husband, you, my daughter, and me. I'm sure the girls would get along great," Mr. Marcovaldo invites us. I nodded and smiled.
"That is a wonderful idea. It'd also give my kids someone to hang out with while I am busy with the competition and keeping my husband from getting into trouble," I exclaimed.
Massimo nods his head and hands us his address. He tells us to come over in 2 hours and dinner will be served.
Isabela and I quickly went upstairs and told the others to get ready.
Y/n's POV
Never in the 5 years that I've known Giulia and Massimo have I heard Massimo claim that he's having guests over.
If he wanted to hang out with some 'friends' he usually went out to the local pub.
That was when Alberto was spending the night at Luca's and Giulia was out of town.
He never wanted his kids to have to care for him while drunk like he had to do for his father as a kid.
He also tells me if he will be out drinking so that I don't stumble across him and will stay home.
But tonight he had come into the house with lots of food and had me and Giulia help him.
Since it wasn't a very hard dish to make, us kids ended up setting the table outside.
Massimo claimed we will be having 5 guests over tonight besides me and Luca.
We invited Luca's parents, but they had some under the sea festival to attend to.
And by attend they meant keep an eye on Luca's grandmother who would be out gambling and causing trouble again.
We all love that old woman, but she really did cause trouble sometimes.
Maybe that's where Luca got a bit of his rebellious side from.
It couldn't all have been from hanging out with Alberto on that island.
