Loki's Secret

Chapter 10: The Truth Unfolds

Thor was waiting in Loki's chambers before he came inside early the next morning. He had been standing there ever since he woke up that morning. He had not seen his brother at all that morning, because he had been on his balcony since the night before. He couldn't take the tension anymore. He had to have him tell him what was going on.  Thor mumbled to himself, "Why am I doing this? This makes me seem desperate. But I am desperate. I should just leave." The minute he stopped the door opened to come in the balcony, his brothers face was red from tears. His hair was all ruffled and he looked like a mess. All Thor wanted to do was pick him up and pull him into a hug. Loki didn't even notice him until he felt his arms around him. Loki jumped back on fear. "What are you doing here?" He said quietly. Thor pulled him into a warm embrace. "Just tell me what is going on. I know you are upset." Loki was fighting against the urge to sob uncontrollably into Thor's arms and tell him everything that was happening to him. Tears began streaming down Loki's face, and Thor began to hear his sobs. "Relax. I'm here. Everything will be fine." Thor managed to say before his sobs only got louder. He helped him sit down on his bed and began to run his fingers through his brothers hair. "Just talk to me. I know when something wrong." Loki started sniffling quietly and tried to wipe away the tears. "I'm sorry, brother. I feel terrible." Loki said softly. Thor just looked at him, "You have to tell me what is going on. You have been crying for days. I am here willing to listen." Loki moaned and pushed himself away from his brother. "I feel sick. I need to go to the bathroom." Thor sighed and waiting for him patiently on his bed. He suddenly heard retching noises coming from inside from the bathroom. About 20 minutes later, his brother walked out the bathroom. "I feel better now. What did you want to talk about?" Thor looked at him with concern. "Loki? You are telling me what is going on or I'm not leaving you alone." His brother  moaned and put his head in his hands. "Fine. Everything's fine. Everything is just grand. " Thor just looked at him. "What are you talking about? You jest." Loki sighed and said, "Isn't it obvious. We are living in a world controlled by idiots." Thor looked at him, "Here we go." Loki said softly, "Everyone's crazy. Nothing is going my way. Everything is fine." Thor groaned, "JUST TELL ME." "MAYBE, I DONT WANT TO!" "JUST SAY IT!" "SCREW YOU!" "Stop yelling at me, Loki." "I'm sorry." He said before starting to cry again. "Do you really want to know." He said softly. "Yes, I want to know what is going on with you. I want to know what is behind all of this." "I'll tell you when I'm ready. Which may be never." "Will you at least write it down, Loki. If you don't want to say it, write it down." Thor said. Loki moaned again, he whipped out a piece of paper from beside his desk and grabbed a old quill. "You won't be happy about this." He said to him. Thor sighed, "What's the worst that can happen?" Thor said. In bold letters on the piece of paper he had written, "I'm pregnant."
Thor looked down at the paper and let out a gasp. "Are you absolutely positive? There is no doubting the fact that this is true?" Loki just nodded. He placed his hand on his bump and leaned back on the bed. Thor chuckled putting his head in his hands, "This sounds insane. But nothing is insane when it comes to you." Loki chuckled loudly before saying, "That is true." With that Thor stood up and walked out of his room lastly saying, "When are you due?" Loki said softly, "Why do you care?" "Because I am your brother. Is it on my wedding day?" Loki moaned and sat up, "If you want the truth, here it is. Yes, it is on your wedding day. And there is nothing I can do to stop it." Thor chuckled."Everything will work out. We can change the date if needed." Loki chuckled loudly, "Thank you for listening to me." "I'll  always be there to listen. You know I love you brother." "I know." With that Thor closed the door and Loki began to relax in the room in the quiet of the day.
