Loki sat up that mid-afternoon absolutely starving. His stomach was rumbling at full volume and he knew if he didn't get food fast that it would cause him issues. He groaned knowing that Thor had only just left the room and that he could of begged him to get food for him. "Might as well get up and get something to eat." He put on his shoes and walked out of his chambers in an oversized green shirt and a pair of black leggings. He passed several people in the hallway on his way to the kitchen and mumbled under his breath at each passing person. His hair was hanging right above his eyes so they couldn't see his facial expressions. He walked into the kitchen and started making a plate of food when he heard a familiar voice behind him. "What are you doing here?" Volstagg asked him. He jumped up at the voice and almost dropped the two grilled cheese sandwiches and the tiny carrots that he had on his plate. "Just getting food. I haven't eaten since this morning. What are you doing here?" He responded. Volstagg looked at him questioningly, "I've never seen you in here before. What is going on? You almost never eat anything." He replied with a groan, "I was just hungry. I don't know. I had to get out of my room and do it myself." Volstagg asked kindly, "Can I make anything for you?" "If you know how to make Macaroni and Cheese that would be great." He replied softly. "I'll make it and bring it to you r room. I'll knock when I get there." Volstagg said. Loki grabbed the hot sauce out of the fridge and carried it into his room with him. He then poured it onto the grilled cheese and sat it on his bedside counter. "This is so good. " He said out loud to himself. He used his napkin that he had grabbed and wiped off his face before picking up his book and beginning to read. Volstagg put it into a bowl and walked to his corridor. "Here's the macaroni and cheese." He said handing it to him. "I truly appreciate it. If you want to come in here and sit. I would like the company. "Loki said. Volstagg walked over and sat down on his bed next to him. "What do you want to talk about?" "I just wanted someone to talk to." "I understand. How are you feeling?" "Decent. Can you pass me the hot sauce?" Volstagg handed it to him. "Why are you eating like this. I've never seen you eat this much." "I haven't eaten all day. Don't doubt me. " He sighed taking a bite of the macaroni. Volstagg looked around his room and at the stack of books by his bed. "What have you been reading?" "Just some fiction stories to keep me company." "That sounds lonely." "It's really not." Loki groaned trying to get comfortable since his back was killing him. Volstagg noticed his pain, and said "Is there anything I can do to help?" Loki moaned, "Not much. Other than giving me that pillow behind you." He willingly handed it to him. "Why are you hurting so badly?" Volstagg asked. "It's the consequences of my actions coming back to bite me in the butt. Just hurts." Loki said before standing up. He tried leaning backwards and nothing worked. "I'm going to take my leave now so you can get comfortable." Volstagg said. "That's fine." He muttered something under his breath that sounded like a curse word but sat down. Volstagg walked out of the room and he went to go take a warm bath. He leaned back and tried to relieve the pressure. He gradually was able to and he got out and got ready for bed. Maybe the pressure wouldn't be so bad with company after all.
