Rui and Enmu's Life With the Upper Moons (but mostly Rui's)

Snow Day

Rui was taking a nap in his cocoon when he was rudely awakened by Enmu shaking him.

"Rui! Come on! It's snowing!" Enmu shouted enthusiastically.

"Mmmuurrgg, give me a minute Enmu," Rui grumbled sleepily.

After Rui finally woke up, Enmu gave him some comfy clothes to be in the snow. The two were about to leave when they overheard Daki and Gyutaro arguing.

"Why did you have to give me so many layers, Onii-chan?" Daki complained.

"I don't want you to catch a cold," Gyutaro explained.

Daki looked at Gyutaro and shouted, "I'm a demon! I can't get sick!"

Gyutaro looked at her for a minute and replied, "You're still wearing the jackets."

Eventually, Daki convinced him to let her take off two jackets and the two siblings went outside.

Enmu shrugged at the recent event and lead Rui to the outside. When the two arrived, Rui looked around and asked, "I thought you were taking me to see the snow?"

"This is snow," Enmu said.

"The cold flakey white stuff?" Rui immediately headed back to the Infinity Palace muttering, "nope nope nope nope nope" under his breath.

Enmu grabbed his hand and said, "Where are you going Rui?"

"I don't like the cold," Rui pouted.

"But the clothes I gave you are warm, right?"

"Yes."

"Well then, by my logic, that means that you'll be kept warm no matter what!"

Rui gave Enmu a disbelieving look, "Enmu, you do realize that your logic also includes you saying that trains are the most supreme beings on Earth, right?"

Enmu waved it off saying, "Ehhh, potato potahto. Come on! Akaza invited us to snow ball fight earlier, it'll be fun! Trust me!"

Sighing, Rui decided to go along with it. "Okay, if you say so."

The two met up with Akaza, who was gathering snowballs for the upcoming fight.

"Hey you two!" He greeted, "Get over here and make as many snowballs as you can, cause we're fighting Douma today and I'm not going to lose this time!"

Enmu immediately started to gather as much snow as he could for the snowballs while Rui slowly approached Akaza and the pile of snowballs. Rui then sat down and started to make a wall out of snow just because he felt like it. Enmu came back with a lot of snowballs and put them with the pile.

"Hey Enmu," Rui asked, "How do you play a snowball fight?"

Enmu tilted his head, "Haven't you ever been in a snowball fight Rui?"

Rui shook his head.

"Well," Enmu began, "You make yourself a snowball, like so." He then proceeded to show Rui how to make a snowball.

"And then you just throw it like this," Enmu then threw his snowball at a random tree. "Now you try!"

Rui made his own little snowball and lightly tossed it, which didn't make it go very far.

"Like that?" He asked.

Enmu shook his head, "No, you need to throw it harder. Think of something that makes you angry and then use that anger to throw the snowball!"

"Ok," the small spider said. He took a deep breath, concentrated on his anger,  and launched the snowball as hard as he could. Unfortunately, the snowball only went a few inches further than the first.
