Story
As time passed, that young bud bloomed into a beautiful rose. She had lovely red hair and the prettiest blue eyes one had ever seen. Unlike other girls, Widow had no interest in boys or princes. Instead, Widow immersed herself in books, reading and writing poems.
Often, she'd sit in fields alone making daisy chains, and she's run inside, desperate to show her mother to get her approval, but she never did get it.Growing up, she desperately wanted her mother to love her like her father did, however she never could compare to her mother's high standards, no matter how much she tried.
Alyssia would often complain to Widow about how much of a burden she is to her and say that she despises Widow, claiming she will never be a daughter of hers. Naturally, Widow was heartbroken to hear this, and instead of growing up relying on her mother, as most girls did, she relied on her father.
Her father helped shape her into the lovely woman she was. Widow was kind and beautiful, she was mature and brave, she has great ambitions to be a strong and powerful woman and make her father proud when he passed away. Her father only ever wanted what was best for her, he layed the foundation for her to be a caring yet strong headed ruler, the people, neddless to say, adored their red haired princess and they loved their current ruler too, they had high hopes for Widow, much like her father did.
Despite all the love and praise she got from many people and Richard, she still felt a hole in her heart and waited for the day that her mother would take some notice of her efforts and finally love her. Everyday Widow worked to be Lady-like, everyday she worked to try and impress her mother, but none of it worked, she was always preoccupied with other people, she took no notice of Widow.
Throughout the years for her birthdays, her father spoiled her rotten with cakes and pastries, even more books to read and her mother got her nothing, except for one birthday, Widow turned 16 and got a journal. from Alyssia...
