Me and Francis were out together, on a date, he told me about this girl, Anna.
He described her as having, "gorgeous blonde hair, and the prettiest brown eyes."
Then he frowned and he said he wished he could see my eyes.Of course, I had to explain that I wear a veil over my eyes due to reasons. Not religious reasons, though I am religious, just other reasons.
Growing up in my family, it was apparent that my eyes held a value. Everytime my family members came over, they'd compliment my eyes.
Saying my grey one was misty and gorgeous, and my blue one shone like sapphires.
I had a grey eye due to being born blind in one eye.
Though, Francis never knew.I told him he'd see my eyes once we were married.
He agreed and carried on muttering about Anna.
I must admit, I was jealous, but she made him happy so I was happy.
She sounded beautiful and kind and when he told me he couldn't marry her, he sounded sad, but flashed me a smile.I could tell he really loved this girl but given the circumstances he has to marry me... I felt somewhat guilty at that.
Though, I thought he loved me...
