Bruno's son

10.birthday

Andres is in a good mood today. today is his 17th birthday. that means he gets to open a letter his mother wrote him. she wrote him a letter to open for every birthday up to his 30th birthday. she didn't get to finish more but he is grateful for the ones he does get.

Andres wakes up to Bruno singing him happy birthday with a cupcake. this is something that was done his every birthday.

"thank you papi" Andres said

"make a wish " Bruno smiles

Andres thinks for a second and blows out his candle. 

"and this is from your mami" Bruno handed him the envelope.

written on the front "Andres Age 17 ". He smiles big and opens it carefully.

Happy birthday amor! I can't believe you are 17. I know you are one fine almost man. Do you have a girlfriend? if so make sure you listen to her but also make sure she hears you speak your mind. You are so special and I want someone to love you the way your papi loved me. You are to be a king to a queen. I love you so much. I am watching over you. make sure you eat your vegetables and no chicken isn't a vegetable no matter how much you tried to convince me. You be good for your family. you are Andres Madrigal, my wonderful amazing son who i love more than life itself. You are more than your last name. my sweet charming guitar player. my amazing story teller. have a great birthday.

Andres smiles big and wipes the tears. He has to go visit her grave today and bring her flowers.

"so any big plans before your party today?" Bruno ask his son

"im just going to go see mami" Andres said

Bruno nods.

"i saw her earlier. just had to thank her for having you.. my wonderful son. " Bruno hugs his taller son

Andres hugs back and goes to get ready. Andres rat friends go to him and he smiles and cuddles them.

"thank you for the birthday love guys"" he said petting them.

he put them down but one stays on his shoulders. he smiles then heads out his room.

"happy birthday primo" he hears

he turns and sees another him.

"thank you milo. " Andres said to his shape shifting cousin

they hug and Camilo turns back to himself. Andres enjoys his birthday wishes from his family before he ask his oldest cousin for flowers for his mom. he thanks her and heads to the cemetery.

"please.. just let me go" he hears a familiar beg

"shut the fuck up and just accept it or else" he heard

anger grows and he follows the voice and crying. he sees Aaron trying to force himself on his girlfriend. Andres grabs him and pull him off. he doesn't notice the knife and Aaron throws his arm back slicing Andres across the face.

"stop!" Valentina begs crying

Andres punches Aaron. they fight and Andres managed to get the knife out of Aaron's reach. he beats the shorter boy until he's unconscious. it takes Valentina calling him for him to stop.

"Val" he said and rushes to her

he holds her as she cries.

"shh it's okay i got you" he said rubbing her back.

"he.. he didn't get to.. thanks to you" she

he holds her and a grounds keeper walks over seeing the boy knocked out. Andres tells the situation and he gets the towns version of cops to get Aaron. They help Andres and Valentina to the madrigal house.
