"Cisco."

Eobard's voice is like a chill, and he knows the effect he has on the entire team.

"I was starting to think you all forgot about me." Harry, Caitlin and Barry are all standing in the pipeline.

"Tell us why you're here Thawne." Barry's tone is stripped of any kind of emotion.

"Where is the little hero?" He tilts his head in a mocking way.

"If you're not going to talk, I guess we'll just have to send you back." It's a fleeting look his eyes give away, and Barry marks him.

"You can't go back, can you?" Eobard's jaw is clenched.

"I thought you would be jumping at the fact that I wanted to redeem myself. " His attempt to change the subject is pretty weak.

"Tell us why you're here, or I'll send you back to whatever it is you're running from." Eobard grows silent, and from the resolute look on Barry's face, he knows it's not a bluff.

Eobard's fist tightened on the glass.

"I came back because of her." He doesn't elaborate, so Barry steps closer.

"Who?" Eobard is silent for a moment, almost like he's afraid to say the name, but then his eyes shift. Barry looks behind, and there you are, standing a bit defensive behind a pillar as you peak inside.

"Her."

Barry feels as though time stops. This couldn't be right, it didn't make sense. You just stare. You're positive you're wearing a look of disbelief similar to what everyone has right now.

"Me...?"

It's said so quietly.

"Believe it or don't, but I can't go back to my own time ever. My only way of surviving is to save her."

From his tone, he's not too thrilled about the situation. Barry would have called him a liar, had it not been more the obvious displeasure on his face. This must have been a trick, some ploy to get under their skin.

"Barry?"

Your call is so soft, and you truthfully don't want to move from your spot, but you knew you would have to face Eobard sooner or later.

"If that's the truth..t-then why did you try to kill me before?"

"I wasn't trying to kill you. If I wanted you dead, you would be." His eyes flicker to Cisco for a moment.

"Okay, that's enough talking to the evil genius. Barry, can we talk for a little." Cisco says hurriedly. Barry glanced between you and Eobard, it's like he is weighing his options. He relents, following Cisco out. Caitlin trails behind. They sort of expect you to go with them, but you don't.

"(Y/N)."

"I'm okay Barry, you guys can go ahead. " Barry doesn't want to leave you, he can still see the slight tremble you try to hide, but he knows that this is something you want to face. So against his better judgment, he agrees. Turning as he leaves.

Now that it's just the both of you, your bravery sort of dwindles.

"You look like a scared little puppy."

Even though he was the one trapped behind a barrier, why did you feel like the one who's caged?

"Afraid of what I might do to you little hero."

"You won't hurt me."

He can't.

He said it himself. He needs you to survive. Right now he's just playing on your fear. You can't fall for it. You need to be strong. After your little break down, you promise yourself not to show much, especially in front of him. He was good at playing on the emotions of others. Manipulation was his game. Pressing his hands to the glass, he just smiles. It's a challenge. He's mocking you.

So you step forward, placing your hand right on the spot where he is, wearing a steady expression. There's no reaction from him, but then you both look over when you see the electricity generating.

The lights above your head flicker, and before you can say anything, you body is slammed backwards, and so is his. He hits the wall roughly, and you tumble to the ground. The light that had spark was like an explosion, and it knocked you both unconscious. All you truly hear is the pattering of feet on the ground, right before it all fades out.
