Not A Mistake

Chapter 18

She woke up laying on Ashton again. She was just happy that Skylar did not try to pour water on them again. She sat up moving to sit on the floor. She did not feel like balancing herself at the moment. 

"Getting tired of standing" Ashton knew that she was struggling with her balance because she was pregnant. 

Arabella scoffed she didn't want to hear it. "When you put on weight them you can talk."

He moved to sit next to her he wished he could do something to help.  "You realize that you are only half way through your pregnancy right."

"Don't remind me." She knew that she wasn't done growing and it wasn't going to stop now. 

"It is not that bad." 

She shot him another glare she didn't want to hear it he didn't have to deal with anything that she had to. "Umm it is if everytime I wake up in the morning I have to balance myself because I can't stand straight without almost falling."

"How is that my fault?" He tried to help her as much as he could.

"I never said that it was your fault I said that when you have to balance yourself before you can do anything then you can argue with me." Until then she didn't want to hear anything because she swore this baby was taking all her energy. 

"Alright. Scoot up some." He had an idea that would help give her just a little relief for right now. 

"Why?" Arabella looked over at him confused.

Ashton chuckled lightly at this moment he had no ill intentions. "Do it." 

Arabella groaned and scooted up a little. Ashton climbed behind her putting his hands under her bump and lifting it slightly.  Arabella let out a sigh in relief.

She leaned back against him enjoying the slight relief. "That feels so good." 

 "How she doing?" Ashton asked. 

"Hyper I have an appointment today this would have been the one where I would have learned the gender but because I already know it I guess you come with if you want." She hadn't wanted him there if she was learning the gender because she wanted it to be a surprise. 

Ashton smirked slightly he knew that she had been pretty insitent that he wasn't qallowed to coe. "Thought you didn't want me there." 

"I wanted to learn the gender I was sure that I could keep it a secret without telling anyone." And since she had failed the moment she was suspposed to lie. "But since I failed you wanna come if so you're driving."

Ashton slowly released her bump down climbing from behind her. "Was that better."

"Yeah." Arabella nodded even the temporary relief was making her feel a whole lot better. "But i still have to wait for my water breaks and i go into labor." 

"I feel like that is the day that I am going to die." Ashton had heard the horror stories of what happened when Woman were going into labor. 

"And why would I do that." Arabella asked. She was sure that would totally ruin her plan of spoiling their daughter and  watching her irk her father's last nerves. "I'm still looking forward to telling her she can get a boyfriend at 16 and you trying and failing to scold me for it."

He glared at her and scoffed he was not letting his daughter get a boyfriend at all. It was off the table that was going to be his little girl forever. "No."

That made Arabella laugh she had known that he wasn't going to like that. And she was sure that she already knew why.  "Scared she gonna end up with someone like you."

"Terrified," Ashton admitted. He knew how he had been and the idea of his daughter ending up with someone like him frightened him. 

Arabella smirked she knew that was good he knew that he was bad and was scared for their daughter to meet someone like him. "Then I did my job."

Ashton shot her a look he wanted to make sure he heard that right. "Excuse me." 

"I said what i said. "

Skylar came down looking t the two. She was sure at this point Araella could just sleep in his bed. "Next time just sleep in his room."

"No." 

"Why are you both on the floor?" Skylar asked.  

"You try waking up and trying not to fall every morning and we can talk." Arabella was still getting used to not having balance at a given time. 

"What do you want Sky?" Ashton asked. He didn't have any time for his twins antics at the moment. 

Skylar crossed her arms over her chest she hadn't even known Arabella was coming over. "When did she even get here?" 

"I brought her Parker drove her car." Ashton admitted. He had wanted to spend some time with her so he had cornered her. 

"And if he crashed my car because you gave him the keys you're buying me a new one." Arabella didn't care how much money she had if he was the reason her car got wrecked he was responsible.

Skylar furrowed her eyebrows confused she was sure that she didn't just give her keys up. "How did you get your keys?" 

"He stole them from my pocket." Arabella admitted.

"Fair enough." Skylar knew that was a great way for her brother to get what he wanted. 

He stood up holding his hands out to help her stand. Arabella took a few breaths resting her hand on her bump. "I want this baby out. Is it to much to want her to come early."

"Her?" Skylar looked between the two she had sworn that her best friend said nothing about knowing the gender just yet. "You said you weren't finding out the gender yet."

"I had an emergency appointment and then i slipped up." Arabella answered she hadn't planned on telling anyone but that had changed. And now she didn't have to worry about that instead she could worry about her phone that she needed.  "Can one of you take me to get a new phone" 

"New Phone?" Skylar asked confused. She had totally thought she was just being ignored.  "So you weren't ignoring me."

Ashton shook his head he knew she hadn't been ignoring anyone just couldn't contact anyone. "She broke it when she fell." 

Skylar gasped she could see that her brother was now closer to her than she was. And she didn't like that because she was the best friend. "How does he know more than i do?" 

"Cause he keeps cornering me at school. Seriously i need a new phone if my aunt tries to call me and i don't answer she will drive all the way here." And that was the last thing she needed she would much prefer not to have to deal with her aunt right now.

"I'll take you." Ashton was going to the appointment with her anyway so it only made sense. 

"He can take you i however am going out since i have been forgotten by my best friend because of my brother." Although she couldn't help but be happy at how far they have came.

"That's not true."

"Yeah it is. It's fine you two are having a baby and I'm happy that you two can communicate so I'm going to meet some of the girls from the team. Have fun at your appointment. "
