Brooklyn approached Lacey who was leaning on the railing at the top of the boat. Wordlessly, she stood beside her and leaned her arms next to Lacey's.

"I-I hope you know," Lacey started, not needing to look at Brooklyn to feel the silent comfort she was offering, despite being given no reason to want to be there for Lacey at the moment. "I do trust you all. A-and even if you were hiding something, it shouldn't matter because we're supposed to be friends and friends don't vilify each other."

Brooklyn stared at the water rippling below them. "Thank you, Lacey," She said, "And I'm sorry about everything today, about piggybacking on your day out with your friends and putting Daniel in such a bad mood and everything..."

"Oh please, we should be apologizing to you! This is your vacation and we haven't exactly been the best guides for you all. Daniel has been a real jerk, but I do know that he hasn't meant to be. He's just not a huge fan of change, and not knowing what's going on... It's no excuse, though." Lacey trailed off, hoping that Brooklyn would understand what she was trying to say.

"You don't have to apologise for anything! You've been great!" Brooklyn rubbed her friend's arm gently. "And I totally understand why Daniel is saying those things, Kyle is provoking him. I know I can't excuse his behaviour but," She turned her head to Lacey, "And you can't tell Kyle I told you this, okay? But Kyle hasn't exactly had the best year... and he might be acting this way because he is a little... hesitant... around new people. Long story short, we had a fifth member of our group but he kinda turned out to be..." She searched for a word that could possibly describe Charlie, "a rotten egg." Brooklyn laughed weakly.

Lacey turned to Brooklyn and smiled as best she could. "I understand, and I'm sorry you've all been through so much," she sighed and looked out at the calm water, enjoying the quiet of their surroundings. Almost too quiet... "Um, Brook? Does it seem a little quiet to you?"

"Yeah it does... And Dae and Syd are here so that doesn't seem right..."

Lacey hummed in agreement. "I'll see if I can find them, try to stop them before they blow up the boat or something," she laughed.

Brooklyn squeezed her arm. "I honestly wouldn't put it past them!"

"Oh, yes," Lacey laughed as she started around to the other side of the boat.

"Wait," Brooklyn stopped. "Can you hear them?"

"Oh that's perfect! Yeah, put that screw right there!"

"Do you have a hammer?"

"No, but I do have these plastic knives and a lighter?"

"How did you get those through security?"

"I have my ways."

"Use the pointy bit to twist out that screw. Perfect!"

"Then if we just pull that?"

"Do it! I hope Disney pays us for this, we are doing a service to the park!"

"That doesn't sound good..." Lacey's eyes widened, hoping Brooklyn realized just how much damage those two could cause. How could they have left them unsupervised?

Brooklyn met Lacey's eyes, they were just as fearful as her own. "Should we go check it out or just pretend we can't hear them?" She had been friends with Dae for a long time, Syd significantly less, but nevertheless, she knew that the havoc that those two could wreck on the world was gigantic... and it was much worse than any threat the world had faced before.

"If we ever want to make it back, I say we find them quickly." Lacey hurried along the little walkway towards the voices. "I just hope we're not too late..."
