"Get out," Katsuki growled out. "Get out before I kill you right now."
Shoto smirked, "I wouldn't do that if I were you. I'll greet your kingdom with war if you even try to."
Shoto paused, then he said, "Omega, come."
Izuku's legs moved on their own. He had never directly felt such hatred for his omega. Because his omega recognized his mate, even if that mate had tried to kill him with endless torment.
Izuku dropped by Shoto's legs onto his knees.
The cold-hearted prince grabbed Izuku roughly by his chin, displaying how submissive he was to Katsuki.
Katsuki saw the way Izuku trembled with fear, the way his eyes were open wide with a plea nobody could hear. He saw the way Izuku tried to speak but resulted in a whimper.
And so, Katsuki gained whatever faith he had and spoke calmly, demanding, "Come, my omega."
Izuku wobbled on his weak legs as he stood up, moving towards Katsuki even if his omega was demanding him to go back to his mate. Because Izuku knew that the person behind him would never be his mate. No, the person in front of him was.
Even if they had never mated. Even if they never married. Even if they never had intercourse. Because all the things Katsuki and Izuku had done together were more meaningful than that.
And somehow, Izuku's omega understood some of that.
Izuku collapsed into Katsuki's arms, reaching out desperately for his warm embrace, for his warm comfort.
He sniffed weakly, taking in the fresh scent of his true mate. He spoke hoarsely, "Kacchan, please."
That was all it took for Katsuki to harshly wrap a protective arm around him, lending Izuku his red cape with all his heat. He growled darkly, eyes narrowing into near slits. He had won between some silent fight against the two princes. Izuku had chosen him. He had won.
Shoto growled in turn, "Omega, come. Come now!"
When Izuku made no effort to go, Shoto stepped forward. But he was blocked. Surprisingly by his most trusted guard.
Iida gulped nervously, "M-My prince, I will have to ask for you to step back. I'm sorry to inform you, but you have lost. Izuku has chosen. It's over."
"Step back, Iida," Shoto warned, watching as Iida kept a hand on his sword. "I made you a knight. I can take that away."
Iida shook his head, "With the title or not, I will always be a knight, My Prince."
That was it. No agreement had to made after this. The shocked and angry prince stood aside, this battle was lost. His most trusted guard, his "mate", and his enemy. They had won, and Shoto recognized when he could not longer win. So, he stood aside, pride deflating as his inner alpha fought him to get his omega back.
Iida stayed as he watched Katsuki gently carried Izuku out, still in a semi-feral state.
After weeks of torture on both sides, Katsuki and Izuku could finally relax into each other.
As Izuku unconsciously snuggled deeper into the crook of Katsuki's neck, Katsuki let himself smell his omega once again. Realization finally set in as he scented his mate. First off, Katsuki finally has Izuku once again- back again. Secondly, his scent was thinned, strained, forced- off. It wasn't sweet or pure as it used to be. Thirdly, Izuku's state was horrible. Fourthly, the woman Katsuki was engaged to probably was not happy- nor probably his mother. Lastly, Shoto and Katsuki would need to reinstate treaty negotiations as a war had almost broken out.
There was a lot to do and very little time to do it, but it would be fine... because they finally had each other now.
Nothing would diminish that happiness.
