Just HI?

"Sammie!" I hear a voice scream form behind me. I turn around and see my best friend, Janie, running towards me. I waited till she was beside me before linking arms. "Why do you have to be so loud!?!?" I whisper-yelled as I gave her a playful glare. She smirked "How else was I gonna get your attention? Plus, its fun embarrassing that shy part of you". I rolled my eyes. I scoffed "I'm not shy! I just get nervous and fumble my words around other people". It was her turn to roll her eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night pal"

We made our way threw the crowded hallways.

"Did you hear about Alex and Carol?" Janie said with a bit excitement in her eyes. I sighed "I don't care but your gonna tell me anyway right?" I said in a monotone. We turned the corner and heard sobbing. My feet stopped. I turned my head and saw Carol crying. Her friends were saying comforting words. "Alex broke up with her last night..." Janie trailed off. How could you do that to someone.

I actually felt sympathy for Carol. Even though she is Ms.Bitch no one desires that. "It was their one week anniversary yesterday." I turned away and tugged Janie a bit so she could start walking. I don't understand how you can just break someone's heart so easily. Alex does this about every week. Give or take. Ugh Alex Leavens.

I walked over to my locker and started to open it. Alex Leavens, aka, Alex Leaves. Cool nickname right? I made it. I've only told Janie, Ray and Michael it though. Anyway, he's basically a player, but like 10x's worse. He doesn't give a llama's anus about girls feelings. "I don't know why you tell me these things" I spoke to Janie, trying not to fall too deep into my thoughts. She shrugged "I like annoying you". I smirked and closed my locker. I linked arms with Janie. "Off to class we go"

~Le 1st Period~

"And then you'll do pages 156-170. That's about 25 questions that ok?" Mrs.Tines said. I like Mrs.Tines, she the youngest teacher and she's really nice. "OK so there are 10 minutes left in class. Free time!" She said with a smile on the way to her desk.

I looked down at my homework. I guess I have to talk due to the fact I finished my homework. Janie sat in the seat beside me. "Hiya budd- how'd you finish your homework so fast?" She said startled. I shrugged and she sighed "nerd". I chuckled "Sorreh Janie!". She smiled "Oh Sammie I worry about you sometimes". I laughed this time.

"Hey ladies" A deep voice in front of me. I turned and saw the Alex Leavens and his best friend Chase Manford standing there. Alex had the biggest smile on his face. How could he smile? He just broke someone's heart.

"Uh hi?" I heard Janie say. I didn't plan on speaking. I'm not that outgoing. "Is there something you need" Janie continued. "How bout' a number and a date?" he said winking at me. Blushing, I looked down. Stupid face why must you blush? "uh how bout no?" Janie stated her sassy side starting to emerge. I giggled and gave her a gentle shove with my elbow.

Alex looked at Chase. But Chase wasn't looking at him, he was looking at Janie. He looked kind of happy.

"A challenge, I like that" he said still looking at Chase. He chuckled and sat in the seat in front of us. Chase slowly sat down afterwards. Chase cleared his throat. "So um I'm Chase and I think you know Alex...". "What're your names?" Alex said getting to the point. Janie faked gasped. "I heard it quite rare if you actually ask a girl her NAME before you...do that stuff" I chuckled and she smiled at me.

"That usually gets most girls..." he said under his breath. How do asking girls their name get them to like you? I guess they feel special because he doesn't ask most girls their name. "We'll were not most girls" Janie stated. That made Chase smile.

Alex raised his eyebrow at me "You haven't talked since we walked up to you two and I'm sure I heard that beautiful voice before I walked up." I blushed. Why my face so weird. "I um..." I started off. I could feel Janie smirk from beside me which made me blush more. "uh h-hi" I said still blushing. Alex smiled. "That's better" he stated. "Ok class time to go" Mrs. Tines said. I quickly gathered my things and waited for Janie to do the same. "We'll see you around...we never got your names" Chase said.
