Sammie Pov

Alex quickly exited the cafeteria.

I wonder why he's in such a rush.

My thoughts were interrupted when a pair of lips meet mine. "Whatcha' thinkin' about?" Zach says grabbing my hand.

I shake my head and smile. "just wondering about Alex. He practically ran out of here." Zach smiles.

" He probably had someone he had to meet or something" I nod. "Your probably right". We walk out of the cafeteria and go our separate ways. I walk into my 6th period class and sit beside Ray.

"Hey Sam-Jam".

"Hey Ray-Play"  I reply smiling. "So. You're going out with Mr. Player Zach?" He asks. I nod.

"Sam..."

He trails of and shakes his head. "I don't thin-"

"That he's a good guy. Jane already talked to me about it" I interrupt. Ray sighs. "Are you sure that he is your best option?"

"He makes me happy" I say simply. Ray nods. "If he hurts I get permission to kick his a-" I hit Ray's arm. "Hey no profanity Mister and I guess so but I highly doubt that will happen" I says as the teacher come in.

I walk into the ice cream shop and sit at the table with Janie. I had plans with Alex but he cancelled. I must admit I'm a bit hurt but I guess he has important things to do. Janie gets up order us some ice cream comes back to our table.

"So Lady. What've you been up too?" I shrug.

"Being lazy. What about you lala cakes". She smiles. "Just lounging with Chase". I pinch her cheeks. "awwwe your BoooyFriend" She blushes and pushes away my hand.

"Shut up. It's not like you and Alex haven't been with the past weeks" I smile. "Yeah but that's cause he is my favorite little piglet". Janie raises a eyebrow. "Piglet?" I shrug. "You know I say random things sometimes. Recently its been piglets"

She frowns. "Well, I thought I was your favorite piglet" I smirk. "I thought I was your favorite too but then a certain boy came and stole that title from me"  Her tint of red darkens. "Shush you" I laugh and our ice cream is brought to our table. I automatically start eating quickly, while Janie talks about her week and eats her ice cream at a healthy pace. 

We sat at the ice cream shop for about two hours before we decided it was time to leave.

So we started walking at a slow pace to her house. "Sammie, do you really like Zach?" she says curious.

I nod.

"Oh. I always thought you'd be with Alex..." she says quietly. I think about that.

Alex? Me and Alex? Together in a relationship? I guess I could see that. We are pretty close.

"Sammie, Sammie? you ok?" I look at Janie. "Huh? What I miss" I glance and see that we are at Janie's house. "I've been trying to get your attention for a while. What were you thinking about?" I shake my head. "Nothing important".

Alex is important.

I smile. "See ya tomorrow?" I say waving. "Yeppers. Bye babes."

"Bye hone." I start walking home.

I walk into my home and drop my bag at the door. "Mom!" I say walking into the kitchen. I see her over a pot that has steam coming from it.

"What are we eating?" I say leaning on the  counter beside her.

"I had a nice day too what about you?" She says ignoring my question. I smile. "It was really nice thank you for asking, but back on topic whats in the pot?" I say pointing at it. "Spaghetti" I hug my mom. "I love you" My mom laughs and pulls out two bowls. "Love you too".

I quickly finish the bowl of spaghetti and go upstairs to wash up. I climb into my bed and feel oddly cold so I tighten the covers around me. I sigh.

Why cant I warm up?

I toss and trurn in bed for about another hour until I decide to call Alex. I dial his number and wait for him to answer but he never does. I sigh and try to sleep again but I cant.

Frustrated, I call Zach. It rings for a bit before he answer. "Hello?" says a groggy voice. "Zach I cant sleep" Zach chuckles.

"What do you want me to do babe?"

"I don't know..." I say quietly.

"try counting down from 100"

"Ok, 100, 99,98, 97,9-" Then suddenly I hear a snore.

I giggle and hang up the phone. I lay on my bed and go over my day in my head. I was awoken by my stupid alarm. I had pancakes. I was almost late for school. Alex was silly in 1 period-

 I stop and smile. In just minutes I've fallen asleep. My head filled with thoughts of Alex.

I forgot i had to update today because i thought today was Saturday but yeah. This chappy is just here I guess. :P anyways school starting soon and I don't really want to go. I have to like deal with human confrontation and stuff.
