Hi I'm back...my writers block is still here but its mostly gone. Yay!! Enjoy!!

Recap....Sure

"OK I've got to tell their name, age, school they go to or went to and a ton of other stuff."

"Who are you writing about?" I asked grabbing an apple. She glared at me and looked back at Layne.

"Actually, I'm gonna write about you, Layne." She smiled at him, her eyes sparkling.

"Wow. Thank you Sarah!" I crunched my apple and sat at the table once again.

20 minutes later

We were still sitting at the table and I was soooo bored. Layne hadn't even talked to me once and Sarah would occasionally glare at me and make goo goo eyes at Layne. That was enough. I got up and walked out of the kitchen into the living room. I looked back at the kitchen about to tell Layne I was going for a walk, when I saw he wasn't there. Just Sarah. I glanced at the clock. It was only 4:00.

"Hey Sarah, tell Layne I'm going for a walk. I'll be back later."

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes at her attitude and walked out the door. It was a nice, warm April afternoon. I started down the sidewalk, looking around for anything interesting. After about 30 minutes of walking, I found a small, quiet park. It had a small play area, a pond, and benches scattered around. I sat on a bench in front of the pond and closed my eyes, enjoying the silence.

"What the fuck did you say!?" I opened my eyes and looked behind me, only to discover 2 boys. One on the ground and the other standing above him. I stood up and inched closer, getting a better understanding of the situation. The boy on the ground had blood on him and the other boy was about to hit him.

I'd had enough of this. I ran at the boy full speed and threw myself at him. I knocked and pinned him down, his eyes growing in shock.

"Leave him alone." I tried to be as intimidating as possible but failed. A smirk appeared on the boys lips as he spoke.

"Oh what're you gonna do about it?" I don't know why but this pissed me off even more.

"This." I reared my fist back and landed a hard punch to his jaw. When my hand connected to his face, there was a sickening crack. The crack made me realize what I was doing. I jumped off of him, scooting away as quickly as possible.

Tears fell from my eyes as the boy leaned over and blood poured out of his mouth.
He stood up and ran away like he had seen a monster. Then I realized he did. I am the monster. Tears flowed down my cheeks and a sob escaped my mouth.

"Hi." I looked up and saw the boy who had gotten beaten up.

"Can you just leave me alone? I'm a monster." I put my head in my hands trying to getting away from the stares I must be getting.

"You're not a monster. You just saved me from that son of a bitch." I looked up at him, studying him. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and blood on his lips. He was tall and skinny, about my age. He also had on a white t-shirt and black skinny jeans.

"I'm Jack." He held out his hand and I grabbed it. He pulled me to my feet and smiled at me.

"I'm Jasmine." Wiped my eyes and smiled back at him.

"Well Jasmine, How about I take you to a cafe I love and we get some coffee?"

"Are you sure?" I raised my eyebrow at him. He looked at me and chuckled.

"You just tackled someone who was beating the absolute shit out of me and you're wondering if I'm sure about buying you coffee!?" One of the biggest smiles I've smiled in a while appeared on my face. He grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the park. We entered a small cafe and sat in a booth. We both ordered our favorite coffee, which both happened to be a vanilla bean frappuccino.

"So how old are you?" He sipped the sweet coffee in front of him.

"I'm 16. How bout you?"

"17 uhhh are you single?" I nodded.

"Me too. Do you like music?"

"Love it!!"

"Oh my gosh. You're like my twin." I was surprised that we had so much in common. I sipped my coffee and smiled. We were left in silence, but it wasn't bad.

"Hey do you play any instruments?" I shook my head, the smile on my face growing.

"But I sing. I'm not great but I do it anyway. Do you play anything?"

"Yes I play the guitar." We sipped our coffee and continued chatting, like we were old friends. Jack looked behind him and back at me. His eyes were sparkling with happiness.

"Its open mic night! Can you sing something for me?"
