A/n there are a few trigger words and actions in this part...you have been warned.
Reacap..."Jasmine!? What is it!?" Her voice was etched with panic. "Its Amber"
"What's wrong with Amber!? "
"She committed suicide."
"No...its not true. You're joking right!?"
"What! You think I'd joke about that!?" I screamed. "The paramedics are taking her to the hospital. Go see for yourself." My voice was filled with disgust. I hung up and sat on the couch, going through everything that's happened. My parents called to see if I wanted to go and see Amber but I refused. I didn't leave that couch all night.
And now I'm 16. Sitting on that same couch. Watching TV.
*CRASH!!*
I snapped my attention from the TV to the noise. I jumped up and ran to the kitchen, eager to know what the crash was. When I walked through the door, I saw what had broke. My mom had smashed an empty Vodka bottle on the floor.
"MOM!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" I shouted, grabbing the broom to clean up the glass. "Mom? Are you OK?" She had her eyes fixed on the floor. Then she looked up at me. I swear my heart skipped a beat. Her blue eyes were so dark, they looked black, she was sort of swaying on her feet and she had a look of disgust on her face.
"It should have been you.." My drunk mother slurred, glaring at me.
"What?" I couldn't believe it. She said that!
"YOU HEARD ME! You should have died, NOT AMBER! SHE was actually PRETTY, SMART, and SHE wasn't as WORTHLESS AS YOU!! It should've been you..." Tear pricked my eyes. Her words were so...so harsh.
She straightened up and turned to the fridge. She pulled out another bottle of Vodka and downed it quickly. Then she turned back to me. Hate and disgust painted her face.
That's when she did it.
She brought the empty bottle above her head and quickly pulled it down onto mine. The pain was unbearable. So many emotions raced through me as I fell to the floor. Pain. Betrayal. Sadness. Anger. Hate. Confusion. My body hit the floor with a loud bang. My head throbbed as blood ran out of it onto the tiled floor.
My vision began to blur as I looked up at my "mother", begging for her to help me. But she didn't. She just glared at me. She turned towards the door and started walking away. When she reached the door, she said 8 words that broke my heart.
"You are a mistake. I hope you die." She walked out of the room and into hers. I heard the lock turn, so I knew I was safe for a little while.
I pushed myself into a sitting position and grabbed my phone out of my pocket. I could feel blood running down my back. My hands shook as I dialed 911. I started to feel dizzy as I pressed the phone to my ear.
"911, what is your emergency?"
"My...mom. She smashed a bottle over my...my head. Please send an ambulance." My vision blurred even more and I could feel myself losing consciousness. I couldn't hear the lady on the phone anymore so I quickly said my address into the phone.
That's when everything went black.
A/n OK guys. It may be a bit short, but this part is over. Remember to tell me if there is anything I can do to improve my story. Updating soon. Bye!!
