I'm one while he is the other.

"We can go at this all night, is that what you want?"

The man before Adam spat. He had been in this room for a good few days now, but that wouldn't change his mind on not speaking. Adam knew it was only matter of time before he would get caught for hanging with the outlaws of the kingdom. Was it wrong to follow what he cared for so much?

"So farm boy doesn't want to speak still? Are you a mute?" The man snarled, getting close to Adam face.

Adam only looked away, keeping is his lips shut. He wouldn't even have made a noise if the man hadn't smacked him in his already bruised face. Letting out a small whimper.

"You best speak up, or I'll just kill every one you love." His voice was dark and cruel.

The thought of Adams friends dying one by one, all because he wouldn't rat out the one he cared for the most, scared him. He didn't want there blood to be on his hand.

Adam thinks about what they are doing right now, are they even looking for him? Do they even care? They are bandits after all, everyone for them selfs.

But Adam made a promise to Ty. Never say anything, to anyone. So he left everything behind just to follow someone else into something bigger than he thought.

But he swore, he swore to stay by his side, to put the clan before him. And Adam did just that. He took the bull by the horns about a raid that went wrong.

And look where that got him. Stuck in a room and beaten till the truth spills out. And for what? Some low life thieves?

The one will not work without the other.

"I'm this close to sending my troops out." The man said, holding his fingers to show how little his temper is at this point.

Adam only smiled, hoping the man was bluffing.

With a sudden snarl, Adams' capturer grab him by the neck, choking Adam.
"You best speak, I know you got a voice."

Fear striking through Adam, he began to struggle. Trying to free his hands.
The man loosen his grip and spoke. "Are you going to tell me?"

Adam only nodded.

The man let go and moved back from Adam, leaning up on the far wall. Waiting for Adam to regain his breath.

"You better not be fucking stalling you son-of-a-bitch."

Adam chuckled, "But that's how I have fun." Shrugging the best he could.

The man pulled out a blade and walked over to Adam's chair again. Pulling it close to his neck.

"Last chance." He growled, pressing just so it drew blood.

"Let the King fall tonight." Adam said with a wicked grin, digging his own grave with only his words.

I'm a lock that won't tell with out my key.

My key shall not unlock for just any old lock.

I am the lock while he is the key, I shall not tell unless he says.

Taking all my secrets to the grave with me.
