26. Library Books

"Welcome!~" the waitress kindly invited them in. 

"Annyeonghaseyo, table for two please" Jake said and the waitress told them to follow her.

Aerin and Jake looked around the restaurant. They sat down in front of each other and things suddenly got shy. For some reason, it did. 

"What do you want to eat?" Jake asked as he held the menu tight. 

"Hmm, since you're paying for it, I will have the most expensive food here." Aerin said with a proud face. 

Jake chuckled but stopped when he saw the price. His eyes widened. Aerin laughed when she saw his expression. 

"Why? Is it too expensive? You're the son of a principal, this should be easy for you" Aerin jokes. 

"N-No i can pay but..why the hell are they so expensive?" he flipped through the menu. 

"We're in the city, so of course they are expensive" she chuckled. 

"I'm kidding, I will pay for mine," she said as she closed the menu. 

"What? No! I lost so I will pay." Jake shook his hands. 

"Nuh uh, you yourself said that i won cause you let me. So no, I will pay for mine" she argued back. 

"No, I will not let you pay. I'm the man here so no" he put down the menu, supposed to make her 'scared'.

"Oh, so now we're fighting about who's paying huh?" Aerin sighed.

"Okay, why not,we pay for each other?" she asked, hoping Jake could finally agree and order so they could finally eat.

"But-"

"No buts. If you don't agree, I'm not eating" she crossed her arms. Jake sighed and stared at her. 

"Fine. But don't be afraid to choose the most expensive one." he smiled. Aerin rolled her eyes and chuckled. 

The waitress came and took their order. 

"So.." Jake cleared his throat when the waitress left the table. He seemed nervous. 

"Why do you like library dates?" he said, sipping his water but eyes staring into hers. 

Aerin laughed.

"Did Jaehyun tell you that he likes it too?" He put down the drink and focused on her. 

Aerin couldn't help but laugh. Yes, it's true that she loves library dates, but the fact that Jaehyun likes it too isn't true. 

"Yes, I do like library dates but about Jaehyun, I'm not really sure," she took a sip. Jake nodded slowly and looked down. 

"You seemed close to him" his face looks pissed. Aerin grinned. 

"I thought you wanted me to make friends. He's a good guy" she decided to tease him more. 

'So much fun'

Jake scoffed.

"Yeah, i did told you to make friends but most of them are guys!" he frowned. 

"It's only a few guys! Jaehyun, Felix, Eric and a few others. They're my classmates anyway" she smiled.

"You call that 'a few'? They're getting too close to you. And Eric, he seems to be into you, shouting across the cafeteria like that" he said in one breath. 

Ah, he's talking about the time Eric shouted from across the cafeteria, telling her to text him.

"He's funny...and cute" she chuckled, making Jake even more angry.
