"So are you and Jaehyun a thing now?" Jake put his hands on his waist.

"No, i didn't even know it was Jaehyun who gave me the milk" She lied and crossed her arms.

"You seem very distant from me nowadays" Jake leaned towards the railings.

"No, it's you that has been distant from me. From us" Aerin replied, frustrated.

'You're always with Karina and now you're saying that it's me?'

"That's not true, I'm always with you" he frowned.

"Okay whatever, i don't wanna argue with you" she groaned and looked away.

'I'm leaving soon anyway so why am I even having this conversation?'

Jake sighed and took out the paper ring she made for him.

"Can we go on a date again?" he asked as he slipped it into his fingers.

Aerin quietly watches him.

'You don't know how much I want to spend time with you. But you belong with Karina..'

Aerin gave him a sighed and took out the paper ring from her pockets too.

"Okay, but you have to grant me one wish," Aerin said slowly.

"Okay, what is it?" He leaned towards her.

"I'll tell you after the date or whatever" she smiled and rolled her eyes.

"Okay cool. After the interclass games?" He asked and she thought about it.

"Yeah, after the games" she nodded.

The day they all had been waiting for finally arrived.

Aerin got so nervous and anxious that she couldn't sleep well enough. She decided to wake up early to practise more.

"Please don't push yourself too hard" Mrs Sim told her as she sent Aerin at the door.

"Isn't it too early to head to school?" Mrs Sim had a worried look on her face. The sun hasn't even fully lit up yet.

"I will be fine Eomma, don't worry about it" she smiled as she put on her shoes.

"I will see you guys later okay?" She gave a hug and walked out of the house.

As she walked to school, she felt restless. She felt as if something was going to happen during the event. She just hoped that she won't fucked up.

-

Once she reached school, she knew she wasn't going to be the only one coming early. There were some students preparing for the day. Banners and balloons were hung everywhere.

She got excited that she could finally attend a school event like this. She walked through the hallway, wanting to go to the school gym when she bumped into someone.

"Ah! I'm so sorry!" The girl picked up her shoes.

Aerin was about to apologise too when she realised that it was Karina.

"Ah, Karina. I'm so sorry. I guess I'm still sleepy" Aerin forced an awkward laugh.

"Oh no, it's fine. I wasn't looking at where i was going too" Karina flipped her hair out of her face.

"Practice?" Aerin pointed to the shoes she was carrying.

"Oh, yeah. I was getting nervous, so might as well, you know?" Karina nodded slowly and looked away.
