Aerin slowly walked down her stairs and heard the little conversation her parents were having.

"It's time we head back. We can't leave the company hanging for long" she heard her dad say.

"Then what about Aerin? What if she misbehaves again?" Her mom asked.

'Misbehaves? What am i? A ten year old?' Aerin stopped on one of the steps, not wanting to get caught eavesdropping.

"There's Jeno. He'll listen to us. He's in love with her after all..Even though i see nothing in her" her dad scoffed.

Aerin got deeply offended.

"But how long do we have to threaten that kid?" Mom's voice was soft.

"That's none of my concern. We could have just brought her with us. But he was the one who begged us not to"

Aerin's eyes twitched. 'Jeno begged them?'

Aerin rubbed her eyes frustratedly and sighed.

'At this point I don't even know what to do with my life' she climbed back up. She doesn't give a crap about what will happen to her from there on.

She climbed to her and got ready to sleep when she heard knocking on her window. She turned around and saw a shadow on the balcony.

Her eyes widened at the slight possibility.

'Could it be?'

She ran out of bed and slid open the huge window. There he was. The guy she has been waiting for, looking at her.

"Hey" Jake smiled as he leaned against the balcony railings.

"You idiot, what are you doing here?" she whispered while looking around to see if her parents were anywhere near them.

"To see you of course" he smiled and held out his arms.

Aerin smiled and jumped into his arms.

His scent, his warmth. God she missed them all.

"I miss you so damn much. How can you just leave like that?" he whispered in her ears as he caressed her head.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't bear to see you for the last time like that" she cried in his arms. Her face was deep into his shoulders.

"So that's better than not saying goodbye?" His voice was gentle, her heart was racing.

"I'm sorry" she apologised again.

"It's fine. At least you're in my arms now" he tightened his hug. Aerin moved away and saw him with only a shirt on.

"Come in, it's cold" she pulled him to her room and closed the balcony door.

"I've been here a couple of times but i've never been here-" he was looking around but got attacked by her hugging him again.

"I can't believe you're here," she smiled and sat on her bed. Jake chuckled and sat beside her too.

He leaned his back against the back of the bed and held out his arms.

"Come here" he grinned and Aerin obediently sat beside him while he wrapped his arms around her. He rested his chin on her head and intertwined their hands.

"You've gotten thinner" Aerin looked up at his tired and thin face. She held his face that was staring at her with love.

"I couldn't sleep a wink without knowing you were safe. But seeing you right now makes me so much better" he hugged her again.
