"Mijin. Let's go." Hari stands up and looks down at the smaller girl. "What?" She squints up at the lanky girl, the sun partially blinding her.

"Let's see if we can find a spot to jump down on." Hari instructs. "You go on that side, I'll go on this one." Mijin gets up to walk over to the opposite side but Suhyeok removes his arm from my shoulder and stands up.

"I'll do it." Suhyeok says, I look up at him in disbelief. "He can't be serious." I think to myself. He's relentless. "Stand down. I'll do it." She says, putting her hand on Suhyeok's shoulder to push him out her way.

He doesn't budge tho and she just stares up at him. She raises her hand to hit him making him flinch away and shes able to slide past him. Suhyeok sits back down and I slap him on the leg.

"Ouch... What's wrong?" Suhyeok says cluelessly. "What's wrong? What's wrong is that you're always trying to be the hero. Stop trying to be the hero. I don't want you in danger." I speak firmly, looking up at him with fire in my eyes.

He just puts on a frown and shrugs. "Okay?" He says comically. "I hope no one steps up anymore." Onjo whispers. I nod and I grab Suhyeok's hand.

We interlock fingers as we wait for Mijin and Hari to return with news of an escape plan. I hear Hyoryeong tear a small piece of her shirt off and she wraps it around Namra's head, making it so that it covers Namra's left eye.

We hear the two seniors come around to where we are situated. "Anything?" I ask the two. "No." They both say in unison.

"There is a door on the first floor that leads to the mountain. We have to go that way." Hari says, twisting the arrow she has in her hand.

"But it's full of zombies in there." Daesu points out, motioning over to the barely covered window. We stay silent for a moment trying to think before Cheongsan speaks up. "Can't we climb onto the roof, and climb down the walls using the windows." He says, pointing to the flat roof.

The roof is closer to us than the ground. It's safer than jumping. "If someone goes to the roof and screams, the zombies will follow." Cheongsan says calmly. "Then it'll empty out and the rest can escape." He finishes.

"I think it'll work." Suhyeok says, hope in his voice. I smile knowing we've got a new plan now, the joy doesn't last long as I comprehend Cheongsan's words.

"But who's going to go on the roof?" I say softly. Cheongsan stays silent, lift the corner of his mouth to make a slight smile. "No." Onjo says quickly, catching on to what he's hinting at.

"That's the only way- I said no." Cheongsan begins to fight Onjo on this, but she stays firm. "Please, let's not sacrifice anyone else." She pleads, looking over to the rest of us now.

"I'm against it too." Hyoryeong mumbles.
"Me too." Wujin speaks lowly, purposely making his voice an octave lower to sound more powerful.

"Then let's just wait." Minji sighs, looking to the ground. "For what? Do you have a plan?" Hari says bluntly, looking up at Minji now.

"It might rain again, and then we can escape through the building."

"Who knows when it'll rain?" Hari scolds Minji on her shallow thinking. "My knees are aching, so it's going to rain. Look at the sky." Minji implies she has a sixth sense and looks up at the clear sky.

"It's way too clear." Daesu says. Mijin just nods with a dumb smile on her face, the situation causing her to not be her regular self.

"Do you hear that?" Namra says. "Hear what?" Hyoryeong responds quickly. "They're telling us to take cover." We all look over at Namra, very confused as we hear nothing but a few birds chirping.
