I avoided William all that I could that day, it was hard but I managed.
It was finally my break so I went out back and took a cigarette out; I haven't smoked in years but after the shit show I've been through I think I deserved at least one. I lit my cigarette and tasted that addicting nicotine taste, it was relaxing.
I heard the door open next to me and William walked out, I backed away from him slowly; afraid of what he might do now.
He grabbed a cigarette from his pocket and lit it, he just leaned against the wall like he was oblivious to his surroundings including me.
As I continued to smoke I just stared at him with disbelief.
He looked over my way and flashed a grin.

"What are you staring at." When William said
that it was almost flirtatious.

I just stared at him while my eye began to twitch.

"Not talking today are you?" He spoke again.

I looked down at the floor; I had no interest of starting a conversation with him.

"Hey..."
"Oh hey Y/n, I haven't seen you since...well since you were having breakfast with my dad."
My stomach dropped when I was reminded of that day.
"Can we hang out, I don't care what we do I just need to skip work." I basically begged Michael.
I could tell that he knew something was wrong but thank god he didn't ask what was wrong. I could always count on him though.

We spent the remaining hours of the day at his house, I was persistent at first, thinking it was a bad idea in case his father came home early that day but he insisted so I trusted him.

The time passed quickly, too quickly. We spent a lot of it just playing his video games and joking around. It was around 6pm when I heard it. Faint sound of a door opening then shutting came from downstairs.
"I'm home Micheal." I heard William shout from the first floor.
Oh shit.
